Your Death-O-Meter eloquently points out what I said in my post. I would love to enjoy this game for a long time and delve into the finer points it has but that doesn't seem possible with the mentality which exists among some of the player base.

Parasites left unchallenged eventually kill the host when the Host has an indifferent attitude. Wise up before it's too late.

Quit your whining. You say you like pvp but then you cry about it. This isn't honorable space combat PVP, it's kill or be killed PVP, if you don't like it that is fine, but to expect to be given preferential treatment because you are new is not going to help anyone, especially you. Find some friends and ask them to teach you how to play. If you are trying to PVP by yourself in a game of teamwork, you will always lose.

Some of its players? I'd say damn near all of the player base. It is a nice change of pace from most other MMOs.

Your attitude is quite toxic. I never said I was even trying to PvP. On the contrary, I was exploring in a probe ship. Only a fool would try to PvP in a game they just started versus people that have a 10 year head start.

So before you pop-off with your arrogant wisdom, perhaps you should get more data from which to base your "I'm better than you" rhetoric.

I beta tested this game 10 yrs ago. I saw back then it was going to be a carnival of degenerates who got their rocks off "bullying" weaker opponents and so I never bought the game when it launched.

Carnival of degenerates has a nice ring to it. It's not the insult you think it is.

Run back to your battleground then where you can win via skill rather than gear.

I never said I was better than you, I told you to quit whining because you haven't even given the game a chance.

Once you undock, you are consenting to PVP, you don't need to actively pursue it, but you do need to understand it can actively pursue you.

Dying is OK, there is no reason to get butthurt about it, we all die. One of the keys to this game is to learn how to survive. There are plenty of tactics you can use to keep yourself alive. When you die you ask yourself (or preferably friends) what you did wrong and take steps to mitigate the risk the next time you try. In essence, you learn by dying.

I see no greifing going on, you were in a wormhole, of which someone lays claim to. You invaded their territory and were engaged as a result. How do you see that as greifing?

He's mostly right though. A lot of EvE "PvP" is not PvP at all. I love PvP which is why I never got into the regular EvE PvP - which is essentially melting a player ship in which the player has 0% chance of doing anything to change the outcome.

If you want to PvP in EvE you do small gang, solo or fleet vs fleet. Anything else where the balance is so skewed in one sides favor can not logically be classified as PvP.

I never said I was in a wormhole either. Nonetheless, I was sitting at the exit. Had not moved at all. While I completely understand that once I was in the wormhole space I was free game, but I had not made any aggressive move, or movement at all when I was killed.

I'm not even trying to express anger here as you seem to perceive, it's more of a disappointment feeling because I saw this game as one that I could enjoy for years to follow and that's clearly not possible with the way it's setup.

At any rate, I not trying to change your point of view. Live long and proper in your fantasy world.
