Welcome, welcome!
The path of the warrior is not always an easy one, nor is it one with many places – or times – to rest and find a moment of solace. Fortunately, however, there is now a place for us to rest when we do find these sole moments of solace.

I am proud to announce the opening of the Court Of Peers the new home and public hall of The Peerage, on Sunday, 12/4, at 19:00. Inhabiting a former administrative hall on Amarr VII Nemantzior, the Court of Peers will be open to all who would wish to find a moment’s rest within its walls. I do hope that you will at least take a moment to visit, enjoy the atmosphere, and try to find your own quiet within the ‘storm’. I recognize the potential for… troublesome visitors, however, so I have included a copy of the standing rules that apply within the Court for your convenience:
- No Blood Raider, Sansha’s Nation, or Equilibrium of Mankind associates.
- No behavior or persons who actively contribute to a feeling of unease or unwelcomeness in other patrons.
- No Violence among patrons. Weapons will be left by the door with the guards. The guards are armed and quite capable of dealing with any offenders.
- No illegal drugs. Alcohol is allowed, but drunkenness is not tolerated.

I thank you for your time, and look forward to all visits.

Will the establishment guarantee the safety and continued freedom of former Amarrian subjects, should they decide to pay a visit, or should exiles be advised to stay away?

While I'm sure that the rule applies to members of each organization... I am curious as to where the line is drawn. It's no secret that I've spoken and kept company with members of each of the listed factions, and by some definitions that would count as association. So rather than rudely show up where I may not be welcome I will wait for a little clarification.

Esna, you are just no fun at all are you. There's like no way I could enter with rules like that. I mean, I can see keeping EoM out, but Nation, and no doing Blue Pill or anything, or even being drunk, I mean what is a girl to do to have fun. Well, I suppose those rules didn't say no public sex, or needing to be clothed, but even I am not that risque. Perhaps that is the point, to keep people like me out, either way it is no fun.

Seems like a proper establishment. I may bring along some of my family's famous gold ribbon spiced wine and pay a visit.

Brother Pitoojee,

First off I must give my greetings to hear of your Public Hall opening, and may it be blessed to be open for many winters to come.

Safe flying Brother.

That makes two of us, no disrespect Esna but what's the point of drinking if not to get drunk?

Also Istvaan... ever considered running your own establishment?

As someone who cannot help (through no fault of my own, mind you) but often causing feelings of unease and unwelcomeness in other patrons, I must protest this rule. Smile

It is somewhat surprising to see that people are claiming not to go in there for the simple reason that they can not get in a state of... inebriation. Which induce that the only places worth of interest would be places where one can get... huh, drunk ?

Dear Lyn,

I just don’t like too many unnecessary rules. When a party goes well why interrupt it? To rule out the possibility of tipsiness and debauchery, says much about the general design of this “Court of Peers”. And what can you do there? Rest… Hell, yeah! I do that in my garden…

Not quite, but to go to somewhere where you can drink, but can't get drunk adds a layer of restriction that is unnecessary.

Not everyone becomes a violent sociopath after a few drinks, personal moderation is key.

I lacked a reason to not attend unlike so many others until I realised that I can just make one up, so it was then that I decided that I didn't like its name or its owner.

You may blame the above two on whatever reasoning you want, including the lack of usage of boosters, or being less than sober, or whatever else you like or on nothing at all, like I did.

Also, a token Good luck/Bah you're an amarrian/filthy slaver!/I don't like your style

You had to find an excuse to not go? How about simply if you don't want to go, you choose to not go.

I'm finding myself with an unfortunate disagreement that prevents me from going, however it's Esna's establishment and his rules, and I respect that.

I apologise* if it appeared as if I was serious in any shape or form. It was more of a commentary on the other reasons of others for not likine it/its ruleset/its owner/whatever else.

* Note: I actually probably should not use the word apologise, since that might be misleading.

A bit...conservative for my tastes--but hey, his place, his rules.

Note: He said "no drunkenness." He didn't say, "no mind-tripping out on X-Instinct..."

There are a lot of reasons to oppose Amarrian conservativism, but establishment rules of "please don't get drunk and the complete nutjobs aren't permitted here" are not part of them.
