Just tried to add a new folder and lost a few hundred items organized by type and with comments for each...

Good job! Even after it's implemented, I'll still be afraid of that button, so I'll try to avoid it in any way possible (yesterday I accidently right licked it, thankfully nothing happened).

The only good thing that comes out of reseting my quickbar is I organize it better, but it takes quite some time, can't imagine what will people do with 500+ items there if they reset it.
