So in looking up power adapters I'm seeing either C or F types... do they both work with each other or is there really only 1 used in Iceland anyways?

Yes and Yes.
A type C plug (most common for devices that don't need earth, such as your mobile phone charger etc.) fits perfectly in an F socket, but obviously the reverse is not true.

Doesn't matter though, because wall sockets are "always" F, for this very reason.

I'd recommend a type F adapter, but either will do for unearthed devices.
