So, after several days of restarting the patching process, redownloading, failing to launch, repeat...I have finally managed to get the patch to apply properly to the point that SiSi was 'Ready' to launch. Now every time I try to launch the damn server in launches and quickly fails to respond...EVER DAMN TIME. WTF happened to the server?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Before the masstest I noticed it got stuck at 100%(While only actually being at 370 of 530 or so MB) and waiting a minute or 2 fixed it.(This is with a downloadspeed of 14 mb/s however). Have you tried letting it run for a bit?

  1. Wipe your current Test Server install completely
  2. Check your AppData folder for any Patch and Download files, remove them.
  3. DO NOT DELETE TQ Related folders here, you will lose all your settings. (tranquility_tranquility)
  4. Check the same folder for a folder whose name includes "singularity_singularity" at the end. Wipe it.
  5. Go HERE
  6. Grab either installer. If you choose offline, all 3 files must be located in the same directory/folder/place.
  7. Let the installer patch

If this fails you again you have problems that only a dev could love.

Nuking installs generally doesn't remove all the appdata, so this should help.

I am using Windows 8.1.

I let it run over night and it finally patched...only in appearance it seems though...still won't work.

When they brought this DoD **** to the server I thought I read somewhere that they would continue to give people the option to download the entire patch at once. Why is this not possible?

I usually support CCP in their decision, though they are sometimes controversial they always seem to have the players best interests at heart...but this DoD ****, is there nothing better they can devote their time to? I mean, talk about the classic 'if it's not broken, break it' slogan some people will claim CCP is notorious for.

I have not been able to get on SiSi in over a week now, I am on satellite Internet as I live in the country...I fear that if this DoD **** comes live on Tranquility I will never be able to play

Full down load is accessible using the options menu in the launcher. I would bug report the issue using the web site including the exact satellite system you are using so CCP can look at how that system works specifically.

For those with patch problems:

Could you try to download http://res.eveonline.ccpgames.com/af/af01a01a79a60851_ef9a766cab29d255e16678bbda414e64 , which is one small file (23KB) from our client resources (it is a thumbnail from the character creator, if you rename it to .png). For the case that you have also problem with downloading this file then it might be useful to check your connection to the internet, for example your firewall (we had one case where a very restrictive firewall decided to block our CDN).

Ok, so I download this file, now what? Run it? Your message was unclear. Or am I literally just downloading this so that someone on your end can see my download statistics?

This is just to check for you if the connection to our CDN is correct.
It might be worth to also check the debug tool from CCP Snorlax, check this post for details.

I tried this but as soon as I launch the rescache tool the command line pops up and then instantly disappears before I can write any of the commands? I assume that this is not supposed to happen.

I've tried a fresh reinstall and then patching to SiSi, get to the point where it says client is ready but still refuses to launch, well it launches and then fails to respond immediately. It's now been around two weeks since I was last able to launch SiSi successfully. Is there going to be a fix to this anytime soon? It seems that many others are having similar problems...therefore, I hope that the source of these problems for users will be sorting out and that CCP won't pull a move from the past and just blame the problem on my ISP. SiSi worked before the patch just fine for me, doesn't work after it...I think it's fair to assume that this is a problem with the launcher/ server.

Also, any insight on when the next mirror will be?

Thanks for the help so far CCP Habakuk, hope to hear back from you soon o7

...

Have you tried to open first a command window (best to shift-right-click the Singularity folder and select "Open Command Window here"), then drag rescache.exe into the command window and add the option?

great tip but I am still getting an auto close of the window with the information in it.

edit was a x86 location issue lol (why was that location a default and is it still?)

currently cant get "diff" to recognize now client still running but not off that file set and verification just gives me "verify is off"

This is odd...

After using my recent TQ folder to make a new SiSi folder (deleted all the patches for TQ) and then properly connecting and patching the folder for SiSi the rescache.exe file is no longer present? Ideas?

Still utterly broken for me.

It's attempting to download a patch that doesn't exist?

See https://pclover.net/screencap/2015-03-14_1738.png

Form my other post attempting to download a patch that doesn't exist.

Anybody happen to have this patch or a alternative download link?

Ah, I see that your screenshot from Wireshark captured the launcher trying to download http://cdn1.eveonline.com/869616/EVE_Online_869010-869616_win.zip, which does not exist - and which should not exist for this patch anyway. The launcher should ignore it as soon it gets the response that it does not exist and proceed with the normal patch mechanics. (This kind of patch is normally only built for huge TQ patches, as it speeds up patch time a bit in this case - but this will no longer be needed with Download on Demand anyway.)

The file which is really being used by the launcher to patch the client itself is http://cdn1.eveonline.com/869616/RepairData_869616.dat (not usable without launcher). This also includes the information on which resources to use with Download on Demand. The resources themselves are then being downloaded from http://res.eveonline.ccpgames.com/, as mentioned in an earlier post.
