Question about Iceland

I hear there are some Icelandic people on these forums :)

Anyways, my folks are taking a cruise from Europe to North America. They have 2-3 stops in Iceland. One day trip they want to take is visiting Vigur Island to see puffins. Vigur Island is probably near Isafjordur where they stop for the day.

The big questions is, are these puffins there year round. They will be there in September, what is their chance of seeing these 80,000 puffins?
