Meh. Forums are always like that. People enjoying the game don't feel the need to post as much.

Lack of forum rage, and monument abuse in Jita, best measure of success of patch.

Right now I'm looking more at what CCP do than what they say

;)

That said, I like this patch and if their development really does continue down this path (i.e. fixing crap that people have been complaining about for 7 years), then I'm very much interested in getting involved and resubbing my second and third account

This forum makes me cry, the biggest thread related to Crucible is a whine thread regarding the font, which I personally thought was a great change (is that an o or a zero ??!?!!)

I understand that whining about certain aspects of the game can influence what direction the game takes, usually for the better, however when credit is due, having an overwhelming amount of positive feedback is GREAT motivation.

Considering the amount of work that has been put into this expansion in the 6 week time frame that was given, I'm sure the teams gave it their all and are very tired now, only for them to see a lot of negative feedback only on a few points, I really hope they haven't overshadowed the few who has given positive feedback

Don't get me wrong the whining is fine, I just think the community should give a lot more positive feedback when it's due

Regarding the expansion, I've not had this much fun in years, I honestly believe it's the best expansion they have made, ever, there are countless changes that are a great addition to the game, most of all, it's keeping the game fresh and pvp happens much more often than it did before, it saved my subscriptions, and killed my wow subscription P

thank you ccp for this excellent expansion!

Yep This was a good expansion and in the short thread I made about there not being an autoloot short cut I made it clear that I thought the expansion was great but there were 2 - 3 things that were miner annoyances but out of 4 A4 pages of fix's and updates that 2 to 3 things vs the rest which I was happy with isn't bad going what so ever and to keep it up.

That's a very good philosophy.

While you are busy not revising your opinion based solely on this expansion, you might also not base your opinion on the last "18 months" either.

CCP has been working hard on all aspects of EVE since well before it went gold in 2003. Take a good hard look around at EVE as a whole and base your opinion of CCP on that.

Yes twas a good expansion. Absolutely love the new nebula's and time consuming tweaks.

But I suppose it's the old human condition to focus on the bad instead of the good ya know. Also some people just want to always be angry at something.

Chances are somewhere some person is pissed over the most mundane or harmless thing.

But yes twas a good job CCP.

The fix of rockets was a single event. Crucible is allot of events in a very short time. It seems clear that CCP is refocusing on EVE. This is wonderful news. I agree with the OP this is a great expansion and those who put it out should be proud.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

Whether or not the protests from the last expansion are what led CCP to making this expansion the way it is ~ The bottom line?

Crucible is a great well thought out expansion that deserves great praise and thanks.

Caldari and Gallente ships look *awesome*

Nebula look beautiful and amazing, (only a couple look blurry/pixelated)

Hybrid fixes, balance tweaks ~ I absolutely love the papercuts mentality of fixing the game.

The new CC look great.

the UI is FINE !! Runs 3x faster/quicker, and is totally readable / flexible.

CCP ~ You've earned back a once disappointed subscriber, and you've earned it well =)

Still feel bad for all those layoffs but love the new focus and hardwork. I wonder sometimes if this community is as intelligent as I give them credit for. Like did anyone ever try to program something and have it work perfectly, on many platforms, in many launguages to boot? I couldn't even concieve and plan let alone release something like this.

It really does have a new feel to it as well as look. The economics I think are turned up to 12. In the past they just kept listening to everyone that said strangling everyone was the answer. Now they really flung the barn door open. I think we better grab hold tight.

I'm worried the next expansion will be more of the same.

Useless cosmetic changes (that often hurt more than help), more buffs to mega-RMT-alliances, more nerfs to small groups. I miss the days of running a medium sized alliance and actually believing there was a point to it all, that there was some achievable goal worth pursuing.

In fact, I'd like to know summer plans sooner rather than later, for the sake of decision making.

This new expansion is good on many points and it is enough to allow me to justify bringing back one account, but it is clear that CCP is hurting for people and that the game still requires a lot of repair work. My plans pre-Incarna are all now dead. Until thing semi-stabilize I don't see a point in reviving the other two accounts and even then the path that the game appears to be going down is such that I just don't know how much I want to invest financially.

TLDR : I'm on the fence, but positive with the current changes.

This patch was awesome, except for the font.

Fix the font.
Fix locked windows.
Fix the map.

Then it will be perfect.

Crucible is amazing. I don't mind the font, the new nebulas are absolutely gorgeous, and while hybrids are nowhere near replacing projectiles in usage, they got some attention and a little buff, among many other little papercutty things put in to the expansion. They really did a good job.
