It's possible, yes. Advisable? No.

When you say solo do you mean just yourself. Or do you mean an Army of Alts? Because if it's the former you might get podded which means an express trip to k-space and the potential to lose your hole.

For a single person, start small. Plenty of C1 holes with Lowsec statics that are sparsely populated that could be good for a trial run.

See here to get better understanding and what not.

Always good to get more people into wormholes, even if you are just one person.

And just a hint, don't be the guy that POS's up and smack talks in local about how they didn't catch you, that won't end well.

Good luck.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Join a corp. EVE is not a single player game, WHs are the LEAST single player aspect of EVE.

If you really want to live in a wormhole solo it would be a good idea to get a trial account, stick all three characters in T1 scanners with probes and log them out in your hole. If you ever have all your scanners podded out you can just resub the trial.

Yeah it's possible. You will need alt accounts subbed at all times. It's not cheap.

2 characters in T3s.

Find a C3 with a **** ton of anoms to run
Make a whole bunch of safe spots
Bring in a hauler and anchor a few cans. Put ammo, refits for your T3s, maybe a couple spare depots, etc in the cans.
Bring your T3s in, cloaky PvP fit.
When you're ready to run sites, have your site running T3 refit for PvE, your other should still be cloaky PvP fit and sit on an inbound hole or on grid with your PvE T3.
When you're done running sites, refit one T3 to salvagers, salvage the site and put loot in your can.

Rinse, repeat. Always log off safely away from your cans with your cloaky pvp fits.

Is it as efficient as putting up a tower? Yeah if you consider fuel costs and the cost of the tower.
Are you just as safe? Pretty much.
Plus, you may log on and find someone running a site in your hole. You're cloaky pvp fit and didn't come through a WH - kill whatever is running the sites. Then you get their loot to add to your haul :)

I've done this quite a few times, and killed a lot of site runners, including marauders, making it all the more worthwhile if your corp is in a downtime, lost their home, holidays, whatever.

Definetly possible as far as making isk if you are isboxing or whatever that program is. There are also plenty of solo opportunities as well, but i won't touch on that atm. The problem you may run into is that if you are strictly care bearing it up and pos up whenever someone comes looking for a fight you might wind up getting burned out of your wormhole.

You should make some friends or join an alliance that can come fight with you when someone comes knocking on your door.

Basic survival for living in a worm longterm:
1. Dont be a douchbag or talk **** in local. Be respectful, gf's in local
2. Do take fights even if slightly in the other persons favor. Many corps wI'll adjust their numbers down if it means getting a good fight
3. See 1 and 2

People do understand sometimes that you may not have numbers to fight but if you constantly blue ball wormholers looking for a fight you're gonna have issues.
