I have a mining colony that makes Toxic Metals on a Lava Planet. There are 3 spaceports to store the output. I exported three stacks of Toxic metals to the PCO, one from each launchpad, about 11k units each.

When I went to retrieve my items, dragging any of the 3 stacks to my cargo failed with a "That item is beyond your reach," error message. Based on something I thought I read here, I tried shift-dragging a stack, and entering 9999999 units to transfer. That placed a single stack of 34k units of Toxic Metals into my cargohold.

Unfortunately, I'm still showing two stacks of Toxic Metals in the PCO. I can't do anything about them. Any attempt to do anything to them results in a "item beyond your reach" error message. Presumably the metals don't actually exist any more, since I already pulled 34k metals out of the PCO. But the two stacks (11k and 13k) are taking up nearly 10,000m3 of my PCO storage volume.

Edit: Petition opened in game, of course.

Ok, logging off and on again made the ghost stacks vanish.

yea, exporting items to the PCO when there's already an existing stack will create a ghost stack out of the one you just exported while taking up extra space until you relog.

Only way to prevent that from happening is to empty said item out of the PCO before you export.
