Macs run EVE well, I'm sure. Even a cheap Mac will probably run the game normally.

I'm sorry to hear about the economic conditions in your area. I wish you the best, and I hope you'll maintain at least some normalcy in your own life, even as conditions worsen.

Even in countries where we have it pretty good, our middle class is shrinking on the average, making it so there's less and less protecting us from similar plight.

Just want you to know you're not alone.

Good luck, and let us know if you ever get EVE running!

would like to run my alt in an orca on my netbook, to give out bonuses. and nothing else, naturally I would keep all graphics on the lowest possible ... .. I have installed direct X11 on this Eee pc 1000....... possibly 1gb of ram...
the launcher runs but eve wont... I had to remove Linux to install windows 7 (to have direct x)
is there anything I can do to accomplish this ?
my other available laptops are IBM thinkpad R40 and fujitsu lifebook b series with an intel solo core.. those 2 have Linux mind you

please help

1GB might be too small... And I don't think an Atom Processor is good enough to run Eve or it's integrated graphics is able to render the graphics.

not true. My Asus Transformer book T200TA plays eve. But it has about 2bg of ram and a current atom processor.

to the op That EEE pc sounds like one of the first gen from a while ago, and i don;t think it's processor could handle eve. The newer atoms can with no issue given some tweeking.

According to the specs no you can not run eve.

"CPU: Intel Dual Core @ 2.0 GHz, AMD Dual Core @ 2.0 GHz
RAM: XP SP2 – 1 GB / Vista and newer – 2 GB"

According to cnet here is the ibm specs:

"CPU Intel Pentium 4-M 1.9 GHz, Intel Pentium 4-M 1.9 GHz
Max RAM Supported 1 GB
Technology DDR SDRAM, DDR SDRAM"

and your fujitsu... if these specs are right, has a p3... it needs to be dragged into the street and shot.

And yoru eee pc1000 has a single core old school atom.. so yea i think you are sol

Your answer is no. If i am lookign at this correctly, you do not meet the min requirements to play eve. Windows 7 alone eats up nearly a gig of ram.

So in the first sentence you are saying I'm wrong but in the next sentence you are confirming my statement.
I don't get it.

Few years ago i ran Eve on a 1015BX eeepc. Single core with 1GB of Ram and a dedicated gfx card (Radeon). I've put Win7 ultimate on it. Was smooth with just one client. Two clients were doable as well but only for non combat stuff due to random slowdowns (one or the other client not responding for a few secs)

A few years a ago Eve specs were lower... I was also able to run Eve on a Fujitsu Stylistic a few years back... Now it wouldnt even start loading.

Mac user here. Before you do just be noted that currently the latest OS from Apple is not supported by CCP while the next OS update is already in the works at Apple.
CCP's respons is to those that use the latest Mac OS X version (Yosmite) and have serious trouble playing EVE is to downgrade to 10.8 or 10.9, which doesn't run on the latest Mac hardware Roll + golf clap.

Then again you can always install bootcamp on your Mac with windows and play EVE on your Mac under Windows...

You're going to need more RAM, Win7 likes at least 1GB to work with.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Doesnt change the fact that Macs are horribly overpriced pieces of ****.

For the price of 1 MAC I can buy 2 laptops with equal or better quality.
