For all the histrionics thrown around here, not a single ******* one of you, including and especially speaking of Anslo, have actually asked me directly for any information outside of this IGS. None of you except Jennifer Starfall have asked to see Jordan Kaine. An arbitrary demand was made, hostages were taken and executed, and the lot of you are deciding it's easier to side with the incomprehensible "morality" of what Anslo is doing to make an illogical point, rather than actually asking to sit down and talk about what's going on like adults.

Let me go over the tally of who has actually done so: .... Jennifer Starfall. That's it. And it took me throwing an open offer to the winds to get one person to take me up on it. Only one. Not you, Rinai Vero. Not you, James Syagrius. Not you, Deitra Vess.. though your neutrality would hardly be in question. Not even Anslo, willing to kill our employees, was willing to show up for Kaine.

You know what the funniest part is? Kaine left with her.

Those of you who took no initiative should feel ashamed.

Hey, hey! I made a suggestion to have Kaine make an announcement! I can't go and ask for interviews because I'm not a reporter and my questions to Kaine will more likely go along the lines of 'Are there any flaws in the reactor safeguards?' and 'Did you see somebody cut wires or sabotage circuit boards?'.

Hmm. I'll allow you a single kudo for the suggestion. BUT THAT'S ALL. You didn't even ask to visit li'l ol' me.

Because I'm operating under Fed commission and I am under the impression I-RED doesn't appreciate having me around.

Also, is there any place I can even get a good cup of coffee in I-RED area of operation? I am getting mighty sick of this damned synthetic coffee and instant coffee packs I keep finding in State space.

Probably not, but there most certainly are plenty of places where you can find an excellent cup of authentic Caldari tea.

Gods. You people have gall, that's for damn sure. Korsavius told me straight up during the aftermath of the Tsurama incident that further private inquires on my part would be a waste of time. Far be it from me to disagree. I had a campaign to organize.

What do you want me to say? That i don't give a frack about Kaine? Well, that's easy. I don't. Never said that I did.

My only purpose in participating in this discussion was to point out what a fiasco ya'll are running, and what a bad job the spin you're putting out is doing of disguising it. Honestly, you've been fracking things up even more with every arrogant outburst.

Y'know what would have nipped this whole damn thing in the bud, and cost you nothing in the doing? Giving this damn fool witness another fracking lawyer instead of goading Anslo.

He didn't even make a demand. He pointed out your poor decision Director Oniseki. You were the one who decided to call that an "empty threat," and proudly declare yourself unintimidated.

Well. Congratulations. Your boasting has cost the lives of howevermany folks Anslo has decided to kill in punishment. All you had to do to prevent that outcome was keep your mouth shut.

Speaking of a lack of private inquiries... any of ya'll interested in finding out who the two I-RED crew I rescued from John's ill fated Cormorant are?

Y'know... in case their families would like to know they're still alive?

So you just admitted here that you're only purpose in this discussion is to be an annoying little prick for no reason other than to spite us. Got it. No need to waste my time responding to the rest of your ridiculous rabble.

Don't keep us in suspense and say it.

I am already having a bad day what with the lack of a proper cup of coffee in Jita 4-4 and I certainly can do without suspense killing me as well.

Maybe it's because of the basically Caldari "fact set" lodged between my ears, but I-RED really aren't the ones who've been losing credit with me.

They're doing more or less what most corporations do, far as I can tell: screw around, cover their butts, and don't quite manage things right.

It's nothing unusual.

You, though?

I don't understand you at all.

Anslo is ... lost. And you're talking about that as though he was as inevitable as ... what, a hurricane?

A badly-trained slaver dog?

"Don't poke the Anslo if you don't want to lose an arm?"

Damn you! I liked him!

Capsuleer dementia doesn't take options away! It doesn't ... turn people into something ... simple. And stupid. And automatic.

It just makes them ... cold....

If Anslo isn't controlling himself, it's not because he can't. It's because he doesn't see a need.

There's nothing he has to protect that he cares about.

It's ... horrible.

If he were just blind to the crews, that would be something else. But he's not. He knows. He understands enough to recognize that capsuleers have little creatures who work for them, and some capsuleers are uncomfortable when those little creatures suffer. He plays on that, purposefully.

It's his choice. His. Not theirs. He knows exactly what he's doing.

So, both of you?

Please die.

Just die.

I think the only "holier-than-thou 'good guy' entity" here is the one throwing a tantrum about death of a legal representative Mr. Kaine did not need to begin with.

Little? My good man, while you may be so limited by your anatomy... my only phallic constraints are budget and my imagination.

Both are substantial.

At any rate, spite has nothing to do with it. Apart from being at war with I-RED, I've got no particular reason to hold a grudge.

You could recognize that this is straightforward criticism of your ongoing operational frak up. None of the typical Caldari sycophants are ever going to give you any straight assessment. Speaking of spite, PYRE seems to have no issue continuing to snipe at you, so little chance they're worth listening to.

Maybe if you folks take the time to pull yourselves out of the collective groupthink singularity you all seem to be circling the event horizon of you'd manage to get ahead of whoever's cutting your internal security to ribbons.

Your initial post in this discussion is the only one I consider valid criticism, although that may be stretching it, and I responded to it appropriately. You continued to linger, and your "straightforward criticisms" degraded into nothing more but poorly disguised attempts to spite I-RED. It's rather amusing that you make false claims of I-RED trying to cover up something when you can't even cover up your own pathetic insults.

Fine, keep playing the victim. Keep antagonizing everyone who doesn't buy into your feeble PR narrative.

I'm sure that strategy won't have any further negative consequences. I have a good feeling about this!

I am entirely baffled by your reference to our organisation. I have been supportive of I-RED's stance on this matter as have some of my colleagues. Is your point so weak you have to use us as a smokescreen? Ironic that yours is a spiteful comment designed to make you appear unspiteful. Infact, pretty laughable.

I did have a personal battle on my way through Syndicate, flying Mr. Kaine and his injured associates.

A part of me thought it'd be best to keep them under my care, where they would be safely treated and cared for. Surely I would give the individuals the compensation for the horrors they endured. I-RED, always minding the bottom line, only gave him 500k ISK of the 1 million he asked for. They must be really strapped for cash?

It really pains me. I've had a long history with I-RED and I do respect them, but the fact you go so far as to insult people for not getting more involved for matters that you folks have repeatedly said are internal issues just makes me want to fart in your face.

Excuse the vulgarity but really. Grow the **** up.

I can't.

Even if I caught him at dinner with his guard down and his bodyguards asleep....

... and got really lucky.

He'd just wake up in another clone, a few hours of experiences gone.

He's functionally immortal, like any of us. Unless and until someone, like, say, CONCORD, decides to crack down, he'll do what he wants. That's pretty much the point of him, it seems like.

But....

The Caldari idea of a "hero," or "good guy," if you like, is limited. It's a capable person who serves loyally for a place or cause, often to the death.

The hero's not a very humanistic figure: she serves the community's good, even at the expense of a lot of individuals.

The hero's usually flawed. Pride and violent temper are both traditional, troublesome traits. In the stories, they can certainly get people killed, sometimes including the hero's nearest and most beloved.

They're frequently ruthless and narrowly focused, all in all. Their loyalty is to the community; individuals are expendable.

I-RED doesn't strike me as walking out of an epic poem, and they're Liberals, anyhow, but they're still Caldari. The question for them is going to focus on the health of their organization; the rest is diplomacy.

Even if they weren't a bunch of experienced capsuleers who are maybe half-pretending at caring in the first place, "human rights" are a Gallentean concern.

Fundamentally, what Anslo seems to be working so hard to prove is that they're not Gallentean good guys.

Which means, to the Gallente, they're villains, just like Anslo.

The Caldari already knew this, so there's no surprise there. Even baseliner corporate entities tend to act like this.

It's maybe painful for citizens of other empires, and for ... well, soft-hearted, unaligned people like me.

Prior to Ms. Oniseki's public request, I had considered reaching out and offering to perform a neutral, third-party interview with Mr. Kaine. But, I had the mail written and deleted it, as it was mere days before the Seyllin Conference. But then, Ms. Oniseki made her request, and I couldn't not step forward. I had hoped proof that Mr. Kaine was alive and healthy and not being detained against his will. I had hoped that reason would prevail.

Yes, Mr. Kaine departed with me. After my clumsy ruse, he gave me an impassioned plea to get him out of there. Not because he was afraid of I-RED or Ms. Oniseki's or her people, but because he believed Kruger was an I-RED operative. An trained operative who had proven himself capable of subverting I-RED security protocols and procedures. Mr. Kaine was afraid that Kruger would try to kill him, and would know exactly where to find him.

Mr. Kaine boarded my ship and left with me with Ms. Oniseki's full knowledge; she watched me exit the interview room with him.

Mr. Kaine is currently safe, and I hope, when the time comes, he testifies. I also hope he exercises good judgement and appreciates the steps that are being taken to keep him safe and lie low, but that remains to be seen.
