This is such an EASY fix, don't allow carriers to assign fighters within (X)k of POS shield. They already have the mechanic available; siphons, depots, cynos, etc etc. Carriers would continue to be useful while adding tons of vulnerability.

They just need to work on the remote capacitor transfer modules.

If I transfer you X power, it should cost X, plus the energy to use the module and account for the lost power sent through our pea soup space.

Remove all cap energy transfer hull bonus's and make the received amount 90% of the amount sent.

A: this has nothing to do with the OPs statement and B: why would you want to make cap transfers useless in the first place?

It's a perpetuum mobile you can build without extensive use of villard wheels. So OP.

Also, bridging already uses uo a ton of cap (If you use your own jumpdrive), and getting bridged requires jump fuel. The cool 20th century way of transportation Cool

A: Has a relevance by association to the discussion of Carriers in particular.

You know its a module right? might be mini power generators, capable of transferring power in a limited extent through spacetime...... anyway, yes, bridging does have a downside for the bridged ships. However, its kinda stupid that the one module capable of stopping a cyno has a spool time, while a cyno itself is instant. Might be an idea to change that....

A: no it doesnt, its about skynet, not cap transfers. If you want to discuss carriers in general make a new topic
