Here's some hobbies to try:

Tie knots
Wood WhittlingFrench Polishing
Braiding Leather

Might help you stay amused...

Alternatively you can:

Read a book
Watch a TV Show
Do some house work
Spend time with a loved one
Read a magazine
Look at the stars

The rest I'll leave to your imagination.

By the way blokes, I'm an Aussie too. ;)

And as if by magic the whole of earth calmed back down and all to be heard was the groaning sound of CCPs servers as 10k users login at once.....

I love how the community are so ignorant they believe things can be fixed by a simple switch and believe they know all the reasons to every problem but treat the staff at CCP as monkeys with no brains that just fling poop around the office.

Okay people what would you like and you have 2 options
Extended downtime to try and fix current bugs and glitches with the system?
Ignore the problem for convenience sake of everyone else and have those bugs and glitches cause more problems down the line?

I for one pick optional number 1 Because at the end of the day nothing is more worst then flying a ship worth 500mil+ to loose it to a bug or glitch in game.

Now for all the people demanding refunds you people are the biggest problem to any company and you really need to stop it I don't mind people asking for some form of compensation via mail/ticket directly to CCP because that's the polite way of hinting to a company your unhappy the people mean the people who throw a tantrum because something doesn't go there way because unfortunately things brake and have to demand people boycott or accuse CCP for braking a law to sue them by.

If CCP believe things are worthy of some form of compensation they would gladly do it stop using the hostage approach your as bad as those people who do stupid stuff and try to sue people because you lack common sense.

Just wondering of all these ppl defending ccp how many are ccp alts :)

No, the people defending CCP are EUTZ players who are at work and can only forum PvP anyway. Yes, it's only a game. Yes, I'm sure CCP are doing their best and we need to cut them some slack. But I spend US$14.95 x5 every month, so I expect to be able to play the game during my primetime. And, I'm not a sysadmin, but we only get notified 23 seconds before the servers go down? FFS!

You choose to play on 5 accounts , and even with 5 you are not able to buy some plex to save the real money??? Please cancell some accounts or stop nagging and biatching about some downtime. Thank you for shutting up, u sad sad wannabee spaceman!

Yes a lot of people pay real money for game , time is money ! perhaps CCP will give us some good gifts ? something worth more than shuttle ?

  • Every time i enter EVE I'm still amazed on how a single server(farm) run such a complex and huge environment.
  • The level of errors, incidents and bugs are, as per my experience, is crazy low.
  • 1 hour isn't long when it comes to extended DT. Would you guys prefer X hours emergency downtime?
  • Those of you who have experience from data-center etc, know that the EVE galaxy won't run on good intentions and unfounded opinions. Would be nice though.

  • Read a book or talk to a stranger instead :)

CCP, with all due respect, I love the game, but I honestly don't understand how can you compensate extended downtime by giving us completely useless items in game - imho it's like saying: I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by the extended downtime, let me compensate you by adding more trash to your already great pile of trash that you already own by our previous compensation packages.
I would greatly appreciate a level 5 skill for the inconvenience caused as indeed it has caused me an inconvenience as I have very limited time of playing eve in-between work and school. I know this post won't be read by the ppl who can make a difference in compensations but I feel like saying: If you're going to continue in adding trash to my trash pile, please do not give me any compensations for future trouble as I would appreciate a fair time compensation for time inconvenience.

I see all the tears in here because of a maintenance window that is half an hour longer than normal downtime. I try not to troll, I REALLY DO, but sometimes some players make it SO GODDAMNED HARD.

Complain about downtime all you want, but if you have your car in service you don't complain to your mechanic you can't use it. So cry me a ******* river.
