Right, as usual, let's hide behind EULA. It's take it or leave it. All do it in a way or another, but some are just greedy and stand behind those small text lines nobody bother to read. Others ignore own EULA and show they are strong enough to run a cusomer oriented business.


Let's assume the servers are down for a total of 3 hours of 'unexpected downtime', for which you demand compensation.

That amounts to roughly 12 cents of game time that you've paid for. (less if you buy 3-month or more recurring plan.)
That means that you want CCP to refund 12 cents per person, per paid account.
A quick google search shows me that roughly 350,000 active subscriptions are paid for on EVE as of this year.

That means that you expect CCP to pay out $42,000.00 worth of compensation for 12 cents worth of your time.

I don't even need to add an insult to this. You're just talking about things you don't understand.

Hello, from what I understand there is no time frame yet on when we can expect the server to come online again and if so, are we to expect any compensation for the unscheduled DT we encountered. If so may I suggest a Gecko per active account for every additional hour of DT?

Guys, I have another idea!
We just use this thread as a surrogate TQ.

Which means everyone just writes here what he does and we ask the customer support lateron to manually update the DB accordingly.

For better readability, please use SHORT sentences like "charXY: WARP Tama Gate"
or "DOCK top station"

If someone needs to know who is in Local etc just post a query here and everyone who is also in Local has to respond.

Ok, wormholes are a bit trickier... I suggest all the wormhole guys keep quiet and only write D-SCAN from time to time.

Such bad luck my days off this week have fallen on 2 of the days with extended downtime. 4 hours is a pretty big downtime (so far).

Wonder if CCP have ever gone back to look at major player bases and where they are to see if it's worth moving scheduled downtime from mid day GMT.
