Brutal graphical lag after fitting modules at a SMA

When fitting/onlining/offlining ship modules at a SMA (at my POS), the game basically stutters terribly to 1-5 fps. This bug has existed for as long as I can remember, but it's way worse now since crucible patch. I believe this is a bug because the stuttering is so terrible it's almost as if i was running a stress test program, it basically brings the Eve client to it's knees.

This goes on for about 15 seconds and then everything is back to normal. When this happens, it can put a pretty heavy load on my graphics card, and my temps go way up briefly.

- This doesn't happen in stations, only in space
- My client(s) are getting 80-110fps consistently except in the scenario described above.

Not sure if hardware related, but here are my specs in case any common links can be found:

Windows 7 x64
GPU Family: Nvidia GTX 460 (Fermi)
Processor Family: Intel C2D (Conroe)
Sound Card: Creative X-Fi
Chipset: Intel 965

My client - my entire client - freezes for about 4-5 seconds every time I fit a module in space at a POS.

My 'workaround' (such as it is) is to drag-and-drop a large group of different modules into the fitting window. And then go afk and get a drink or something while my client works through the resulting extended freeze-up.

I did notice unusually high heat on my machine after refitting several ships in a row last night, and then going out to bash a Planetary Customs Office. But I don't know if the heat was caused by the refitting, the PCO bashing, or something else entirely.

Same problem.
Every time Im fit a module the client is freezing for while.
Maybe it depend on the ship type too becouse it wasnt the same freezing time when Im fitted a frigate or a BC.

Bump.

Am too having this issue. Except mine goes on for the best part of a minute.

It's not a graphics issue perse, but it's actually maxing CPU load, which manifests itself to look like low FPS.

This does not happen in stations. (well it does, but it's ever so slight)

It goes on long enough for me to want to alt tab and kill the eve process.

5 seconds? Mine (and everyone else I've talked to) is doing the same, but mine is about 20-30 seconds per module lag.

This happens after having a client open for a long time, restarting it and going to fitting will generally be lag free.

5-10 seconds? You lucky SOBs. It takes me 30+ seconds to fit or unfit every individual module, and no, this is not after extended play. I can close the client, log in, and eve still makes a hobby of locking my computer up just to change fittings.

Every time I alter modules with an SMA my OS also detects the eve executable as "not responding", this is severely broken.

Other irritating bugs with SMAs have been ignored unfixed for months now, so this is probably just here to stay, as nobody seems to be paying attention to that area of the game.
