Help with a question about quad escalation

This is probably just a lack of understanding on my part, but I'm trying to figure out if quad escalating is still a thing?

We are looking into doing wormholes and we've been looking at the ways to make the wormholes produce isk, which obviously includes escalating the sites.

Now, I'm confused, because we've been reading Eve Survival to get our feel for how to do the sites, and they only list two escalation waves.

I've heard some people tell me you can only escalate twice now, but I've also heard some people tell me you can get each of those escalation waves twice for a total of four, two for two carriers and for two dreads.

We're also wondering if escalation can only occur on the anomalies, or if you can also escalate the data and relic sites?

I'm wondering if someone with experience on this can help me out with some of the details, and also maybe a suggestion on how to properly warp in, what sequence, and what sub caps to use.

I'd really appreciate it.

ya what ur reading there is PER carrier and PER dread. up to a cap of 2 of each. the one with more dps in it is the carrier escalation wave.

SMA?

I haven't escalated a site in months. Having said that, I could probably do it solo better than a large number of alliances can. Of course, my opinion is biased in this area :D

Pls explain this damage rigs thing.

EDIT: nvm, found your guide. Don't agree with you though. Going from 15k to 16k dps is not like to reduce the number of siege cycles, so I'd rather take that extra cap o/

Using damage rigs is an excellent way to get yourself killed if youre new to escalations.

warping in a dread will spawn 6 bs, warping in a second dread will spawn 8 bs, same with carrier.


you need to have 1 dread in the site and warp the other dread as well in to get the 8x spawn, so you need to have 2 dreads on field to spawn the second wave, same with carrier.

Every thing you said is right, except the last bit.

You just need a 2nd dread/carrier period to hit the field.

First can leave first, as long as the 2nd is a second person.

Its a technicality, but its an important distinction for trying to like, cap escalate a noctis for example.
