Hey guys,

Saw a few other threads on this, however some didn't have any information on "Multi-Boxing."

I know many of you are not FANS of Mac's, however, I have no choice but to purchase a Mac as I am a music producer. I don't want to purchase two computers, just one that can allow me to do both work and play. I am curious to know if anyone has one of these new machines, and if so, how it works with multi-boxing

How many clients can you successfully run on low settings?
Does it work well with programs like ISBoxer (not that I am using that! CoolCool)
Has EVE updated the client to allow for 5K resolution without black screening?

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!!

THANKS NERDS!

The problem is that Eve isn't technically supported on Yosemite. So, multiboxing is going to be tough (basically impossible).

As much as I hate to say it your best bet on the 5K iMac is to run a Windows partition. When running Windows you'll have access to the highest shader settings (which isn't available on OS X) and a very stable client (unlike Eve on Yosemite where you'll be lucky to get an hour of playtime without restarting the client).

That said, it looks great. I like to run it at 3200x1800. I can have 3 clients running smoothly at slightly better than potato graphics. Or one running normal graphics and another running potato on a separate monitor.

I can run three windowed clients simultaneously on my Retina iMac, and that's full graphics settings averaging 45-60fps.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I use a 2012 MacBook Pro Retina and run two clients on low res side by side 40-60 fps. Running high res is a mixed bag, especially since the UI scaling options in EVE aren't great.

Strangely enough, I found what can really effect performance is your what you have toggled to display both for your overview and bracket settings.
