Respectfully,

1. I wouldn't call our 4 billion in fundraising in the past week "massive," but I do hope and expect the community, long-term, will invest a "massive" amount to defeat the New Order. It is in my personal wallet now for simplicity but will be moved to a segregated corporate wallet later. I am happy to provide api keys and other transparency such as monthly reports when the whole operation gets a bit bigger.

2. Yes, lots of promises of action. More action in the first week than probably any start-up in Silicon Valley.

3. Lots of results, just not the results of the past failed rebel attempts. Success takes planning, preparation, and thoughtfulness. Lots of actions and results are planned, but no revolution achieves victory in one week.

4. Yes, just like Goons giving to Gevlon for a laugh, CODE. members have done the same for us, essentially a "bring it on, and here's some isk to do it with" sort of message. And we'll take their isk. We'll take isk from anyone. It's my duty to Highsec to do so in order to defeat the New Order.

5. I have promised no return on investment. I have promised that there is the possibility of a return on investment after the clear and stated goal is achieved. Unlike New Order shares, our shares will be invested to earn a profit, much like a university endowment. However, unlike universities, I hope that the shareholder funds become eventually self-sustaining to fund ongoing rebellion efforts without being dependent on ongoing shares. It is far too early to say how this will play out, but it will likely be some sort of curve where more shareholder funds are used for resistance now than in the future, when profits are the primary source of funds.

We have 2 threads on Heroes of Highsec. To keep them both on-track, please use this thread simply for discussion and comments regarding the investment. For more general discussion regarding the merits of the Heroes of Highsec and ideas to put forth to help us win, please use the thread in Crime and Punishment.

Thanks.

Held.

You need a mining permit to fundraise in highsec.

10 million ISK will buy you one.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

I'm not against owning a mining permit... just as long as it's so I can put it in a drawer to look at later after the New Order is defeated. A relic of the past, like old currencies and so forth. Big smile

Why wouldn't I? If I wanted to prove myself to be a failure like every rebel leader before me I would do stupid things like leave valuable channels, fly around solo for years to "prove myself" or do other silly things that all lead to the dustbin of EVE history.

Seriously guys, it's these sorts of trollish, or maybe seriously naive and troll-sounding attitudes that suggest the average rebel has a very low IQ. And I don't mean this as an insult at all. I want you all to eventually join me. And I'm confident that you will, so I will continue to put up with this garbage until you see the light.

Yours truly,

Your Supreme Commander, Held

PS Let's get this thread back on track by talking about the IPO not ridiculous comments like the above. I sure wish ISD would come and clean up this cesspool and get us back on track to a meaningful discussion of the posted topic.

I purchased 50 shares, to support this noble cause. I will look forward to defeat CODE.
It will be no problem as most of them are PvP noobs, who can only shoot at things that cant shoot back.

I can now proudly call my self a Hero of High Sec

We will win, we are stronger than CODE, the CODE will loose as it always has.

Perhaps you'd like to propose a shareholder vote... after you buy some shares?

Ok, I think some guys take this seriously. I cannot blame them - even I slowly start to consider our Held der Finsternis is actualy >not< James 153.

But therefore i have a question:
Your promise right now is some kind of "attack" or "war" against a inconsistent group of players. Players who - in my opinion - actualy know pretty good what they can and can´t do. Especialy because Highsec is a different kind of battlefield than Lowsec, Nullsec or WH-Space.

On the other side i see:
- you of course
- and a undefined number of mad highsec-residents, which are rarely known for any competence regarding highsec-warfare

What are your plans against this gap of know-how ?

Some mad residents will be really good at making isk, so they'll buy shares.
Other mad residents will be good at pvp, so they'll engage in combat.
Others will be bad at everything and just buy a few shares, as they just want to be part of it.

We'll trade the funds and invest for future growth, as a sort of endowment fund for highsec, using part for engaging against the New Order, while trying to ever grow the balance for shareholders to get a return. Originally, I was planning on holding off on all distributions until we achieve final victory, but I'm starting to lean toward paying a share of monthly profits out to shareholders, perhaps half of the profit to shareholders and half to a separate fund exclusively for fighting the New Order.

So far, all shareholders seem to have given isk just to help us win, or at least for some, a sort of dare to us to see if we can win with their funds. But I promised from the very beginning that shares in the Heroes of Highsec are more than just shares in the New Order in which you won't ever see anything back but explosions and tears. Our shares will give a return to shareholders as well in actual isk. All I can say for certain regarding the funds is that they will be put to good use in ending the New Order and giving people a source of wholesome fun in Highsec, as well as generating a shareholder profit. The exact means we get there will be a work in progress as we march forward. But you won't be disappointed.

*edit* There's a new blog post up- is there a scammer as a shareholder? read to find out!

Sounds like a scam to me. Very similar to a scam tried by another really bad scammer a while back:

http://greedygoblin.blogspot.com/2014/01/another-bad-scammer-in-eve.html

Even the writing style is amazingly similar.

Perhaps a fresh coat of paint (CODE instead of Goons) and a new face will bring this one more luck.

Either way it's good for the New Order.

You didnt get the question - its more or less obvious that carebears will just give you ISK and wont join you in a fight Roll

The main problem is the difference between the will and the capability to fight.
You may gather a whole bunch of motivated guys >willing< to fight CODE.
But you will >not< start or change anything if you give CODE fights where they can shoot half your fleet without problems and leave, just because your guys are most likely not coordinated and/or experienced enough to make a difference against an enemy which is better organized and experienced.

Question:
Do you started a trading-business or do you want to oppose CODE ? Roll

Just about more than 2 weeks after your first post and the only thing you actualy did until now is gathering ISK and writing a blog.
No source of information reveal a plan, no action actualy yield visible results, no action leads to some funny enterntainment.
Plain nothing.

TL;DR:
Most guys are already disappointed, because there are 2 possibilities:
a) it is no scam - but the process takes too long, it´s boring and will result most likely in a botched attempt where mad, missorganized highsec-guys get an unlubed assrape
b) it is a scam... it is boring and tediously... Straight
