CCP would make so much money if they would invest more in real life EvE gear. I swear, they could charge me an arm and a leg and a nut, and I would wear that **** everywhere if they had something besides hoodies and t-shirts.

Make me a faux-military-ish looking--or pirate looking--bunch of outfits, and I would be all over that. Not junk stuff either. High-quality clothes at designer prices, and hells to the yes.

Because oben just drops and the other one is based on a blueprint that neues to be Research, copied and invented before the builder spends either isk for the material or time to mine in.

I think the op means that "why is a meta 4 item better than a meta 5"

Is the core of it. Meta 5, of course, being the T2

No, I meant why aren't people using the meta 4 mods exclusively in the cases where they are both better than there t2 variants and cheaper. I don't want them to fix it though until I finish selling my stock off lol.

1)People are dumb and just buy what they perceive as the best without actually looking. (See ALODs with shiny modules that are no better than T2/Meta4)

2)Due to the recent manufacturing revamp quite a few T2 modules are being produced because "it's cool" or "it's something new to do" even though they are being produced at a loss. People may be stockpiling them in hopes their value eventually rises to what they actually cost to build.

3)Meta 4 prices tend to swing widely relative to T2 prices and doctrines may have been developed while T2 was cheaper and have not been updated.

4)Regional price difference may be profitable for T2 items. So while sales volume may indicate they are being used, they may just be bought to flip in another region with no intention of actually using them.
