in less than a minute.
In MS paint.

But what about it? Just like her creation, the tools of the artist should not be judged because of their simplicity, and this should not be the criterion for accepting/rejecting an alliance logo.

I think this exchange illustrates why judging logos based on personal subjective taste is flawed.

You can have an opinion on whether a logo is bad or good. Suitonia thinks they're bad, you and I might think they're ok.

However, that opinion shouldn't allow any of us to decide how another group of players can and can't represent themselves. As long as the manner in which they do so isn't clearly offensive or copywrighted.

P.S. I think it would be good if people read the thread before replying so that they can make informed responses.

Apple logo

This logo has it's meaning, is correlates with Corporation name and has it's own history. I can re-create this logo in ms paint in one minute , so what? Does it really matter which software it's made with? Will it matter for you if your favorite music would be made on cheap instruments or whatever?

And let's look at linked before Dark Taboo logo. As i see it, it is pointless. No sense at all. Words doesn't correlate with image. Why the hell there is a tiger? Why the hell their taboo is dark? Which taboo is it?
Pointless things in my opinion are ugly.
But i do understand that it is my opinion, and glad for guys that they have it their way.

And now goes this logo preceded by this one. Knowing the history of Hydra Reloaded great allice, all i can say this one is perfect for them. No other logo will reflect Hydra Reloaded essence as does that abstract picture. As it is said before, it has it's own history, meaning and essence.

If you feeling that you are against Hydra Reloaded logo to be in game, please re-read this and re-think your position on a matter.

Personally i think that this logo is perfect for Hydra Reloaded allice and do want it to be in the game. I don't see any reasons why it shall not be there. It is creative, artistic (yes, abstractionism is a form of art) , reflects the essence of allice and has it's own history, just like Apple's logo.

Now, just to be clear:

-We are not here to criticize other Alliance's logos, we simply wish to have our own logo re-considered and implemented into the game
- We are NOT advocating that CCP start banishing other Alliance logos for not being "EVE-related" enough. This would indeed be terrible and cause great community backlash
- We believe that any alliance logo that is not offensive or rascist should be also be approved by the art department as long as it fulfills the technical requirements.

As many have already mentioned, judging what is "art" is extremely subjective and we hope that CCP will take another look at our submission and re-assess this situation.

We simply want to have our identity as an alliance firmly concreted into the EVE world via this well recognized logo. Thanks for all the supporters in this thread, it's very much appreciated.

Although I do your point, but your logo looks like it was drawn by a 8 year old. CCP doesnt want that in their high fashion pretty game.
