Big smile WOW. looks like a really cool match coming down. I'm looking forward to seeing it happen.
The PVP matches are kind of a cool rendition of ancient arena games.

So how about a match that includes the "other" players in EVE?
You know.. the lowly Indy players?

A match where the PVP guys have to support and protect their Indy guys while also killing their opponents and the outcome of the match not only includes ship kill points but successful mining and manufacturing points?

I sense a whole new set of bragging rights coming on.

And if it happens, well....if it happens.Big smile

Lets all complain more and keep questioning the t1 drone rule. It doesn't make TQ sound completely drone meta dependent at all.

Go TQ!

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Time will tell, Best option is to hold it for as long as possible and watch the prices go up as players lose theirs.
That's mostly because every player will have one, IF camel wins.

Will there be anything else going on at fanfest during this?

Or is this the Friday Night thing before the pub crawl :(

If you were sat at home watching the stream, yeah its sounds good, however if your there its a good time for pre-crawl prep, ie nap, shower, food :)

This is kindof unfair, having to be online at that time favours some time zones over others. I personally am on a bus coming home at 2pm on a Friday for 2 hours (which is what time that is for me) coming from college back home. Maybe make it anyone active that week/subscribed so as to be fair CCP?

Thank you! As even though I have a nice rig/internet setup, I'd rather not bog down the stream IN ANYWAY with EVE running at the same time just to be eligible for the ship if Camel wins. As the tourney streams have been quite finicky for me and my internet isn't mediocre by any means. Now granted it's not Fios (which I used to be on) but I'm still getting roughly the same speeds I was. Just on crappy Comcast where I have to share the line with pretty much EVERYONE in the damn county. Instead of being on a dedicated line with Fios.

(my speeds I think are either 25mbps down and like 10 up or 50 mbps down 10 up. But again with comcast, that means nothing during peak time. PS: I hate comcast. With fios whatever your download speeds were, that was what u got on upload speeds as well. So 25/25, 50/50, etc.)

I myself have experienced asian pvp in games, it's usually either horribly abusing game mechanics and glitches /or/ being as cheap as possible. As in ECM EVERYTHING! A lot more so than others I'm assuming because they are more commonly hardcore gamers.

Most Asian gamers take any game that has a competitive nature to the extreme. They make hardcore western gamers look like casuals. As evidence by their tourneys. So ya.. Camel has their work cut out for them. As they are stacked up against the most dedicated group they could possibly be matched up against.

So camel you better be prepared for one hell of a fight. And ya might want to make sure you can counter all forms of Ewar or make sure you blap their ewar boats off the field instantly. As I suspect they will be doing heavy ewar throughout the match.

But I'm really looking forward to this match. The best our server has to offer, VS the hardcore Asian server's best. Should be ONE HELL of an entertaining match!

I'd say the odds of Tranquility taking home the prize are about 10% (and that's being generous).

Still...I'll watch just to see if we win at least one match.

As was mentioned, being "active" doesn't mean you have to be logged in at the time of the match. It just means your account has to be subscribed at the time of the match. So whichever team wins, anyone with an account that is all paid up at the time of the match on that server will get the ship.

I just have to say how cool these rules are, both 'strategically' (on a inter-setup level) and 'tactically' (intra-setup) - even the t1 drones only rule.

Let's see which server has the best tourney school Roll

For people interested in some background of the Opux Luxury Yacht (of which this ship is a reskin of), here's a publication I ran on them:

The Opux Luxury Yacht

During this, I actually found out there's more then 2 Opux Luxury yachts!
However, I have no idea how the two others (and maybe more?) got theirs, would love to know more about it!

If Camel wins, can we officially call it 'Hump Day'?

No individual ship type may be used in more than one team setup submitted by a team. Each of the seven setups must use a completely different set of ship types as the other team setups.

Am I reading this correctly? If a team indicates that a Domi is part of one setup, the Domi cannot be included in any of the other 6 setups? That's wild!

Also, on the T2 drones ban - given that the last AT had increased the points cost of the Domi, and that the Domi isn't called out as having an increased point cost in this competition, I suspect some connection.
