Trade Question, T3 Ship with Modules.

Good afternoon.

Working inside of a trade hub, a personal contract has appeared selling a T3 ship and a full set of modules for it. I checked the market prices of each individual piece and the total amount of ISK between the asking price and market sell price would make about 100m isk profit.

However, I don't know a single thing about T3 ships, and their modules. I sent an eve-mail to the seller and he mentioned that,

"The subsystems are attached to the ship, they dont come off. Hence the reason Im not asking full market value."

After some searching I'm not finding information on selling T3 ships, except that a ship cannot be repackaged like other ships, but no details.

I'm thinking that T3 ships, when assembled, have the same properties as BPCs that they cannot be sold on the region market, but only in contracts.

Is this right? Also, is there anything else that I should be aware of with these ships?

Rigs are the only part of T3 ships that can't be stripped off without destroying them.
So remove the value of the rigs from contract completely, add 2-3% of future taxes (that you will have to pay when selling) and then check profitability.

you have to package a ship to remove the subsystems, he may be thinking that its like rigs but its not, package the ship and the subs will appear in your items, an assembled t3 needs subsystems and you cant remove them to have 0 subsystems \o/ profit.

unless you select a fit which contains subsystems which you dont own then it will remove them and your left with blank slots

Got it. This sounds like it will be a good investment. Thanks for the info!

Before you nab it make sure you are looking at the buy cost of the modules - T3 mods esp the offensive and defensive modules tend to be fairly heavily manipulated.

But yes you can repackage the ship and the mods will all come off.
