Yeah i know, but i use a Mac, and Mac saves it (Settings i have) but it is okay, i get to focus my SP training now i guess.. Fresh start is never bad, i wish i could have the SP back, but that won't happen unfortunately :(

Not to get off topic, but have you tried opening a support ticket? It's possible they can help you.

I thought about it, but to be honest, I've already swapped everything to this guy, and the only thing id want is the SP, which CCP aren't going to just give to this toon, so it is fine, ill just start from the beginning, EVE is about making decisions and living with the consequences right? Well.. I left my computer with my girlfriend, haha! Time to live with those consequences, however, if the CCP staffer that is in charge of that stuff see's this, i won't mind if i log in with all my SP back to redistribute :D haha!

Unfortunately, our customer support team is not allowed to do that unless you open a support ticket, and the rest of us are not allowed to do that at all. But, if you don't feel you need it, I wish you the best of luck with your new character!

Thank you so much! That would be great man!

It seems a lot of people were thinking of something similar, shame we can't make one massive thing!

And Vapor Ventrillian? Will do, thanks for the help man!

Greetings fellow capsuleers! (I never know if it should be capital C or lower case c.. Food for thought i guess..)

I have been playing this game for a little over a month (ignore the characters age, RL issues made some.. Complications) and i have notice that most of the newer players don't like PvP or the idea of it, they have kind of a World of Warcraft/Diablo 3 approach to this, all bling and they can chose who can fight them, where EVE Online is a multitude more advanced and every choice has a consequence and you can basically do everything and anything you want, so i had an idea, and i don't know if this is the right forum board either so please moderators be kind, i couldn't really work out where it should be..

Anyways, i was thinking of making a PvP tournament for newer players and older players alike, but all 1v1 or 5v5 or something like that, all in Rookie Ships with another set of games in T1 Frigates, all Meta 4 and under modules, no Faction or T2 ammo, just the starting stuff, and you will be pared and squaring off with people in your SP range (under 100K, under 500k, under 1mil, under 5mil, ect. Might make it cover more, maybe 5 times gaps.. Will work on it and refine it).

The reason i want to do this is because i want to see more people embrace the entirety of this game and get out of the normal flow of progression. And to teach the newer players that PvP can be fun and all that, there will be prizes and the like, i have a large pool of ISK i am willing to pledge towards this, as it will be needed, id be providing the prizes and replacement ships and all the good stuff to encourage more PvP, hence why restrictions to T1 stuff, please, if you think this is a good idea, id be interested to know what you think, good or bad, how to get more support, any additional ideas, all that, i was thinking of doing it in a starter system or "safe" system if you know what i mean, i will find away to make it work without CONCORD getting involved (i.e. using jet cans to make every suspect, and duels for 1v1's. Was also thinking of promoting a scanning challenge, winner gets like a SoE Probe Launcher and full set of SoE Probes, stuff like that, please let me know what you think of all this, it would be greatly appreciated

It's s great idea, however it has been suggested many times in the past and like the others I suspect it will come to nothing.

The main reason is that if you try and do this in either High Sec or Low sec you will not be able to stop other pkayers from interfering.

I guarantee if you try you will be unidated with people in throw away ships doing there best to mess everything up.

I wish you good luck but like I said I doubt anything will come of this because you will never be able to solve the fundamental problem of stopping people interfering

So little faith and trust in this game.. I am intending to change that.

And that is true.. But i can hire fleets, offer a big prize to which ever defence fleet kills the shiniest enemy ship, just as there are ways for people to attack it, there are the same and if not more ways to defend it, i already took these things into consideraction, even worked out a way to keep CONCORD on grid so gankers can't draw them away and then attack, and it is chip as chips too.

And had to mess up a thing like that.. Considering one of the game types i was thinking will litterally be a free for all.. So yeah.. Have fun working out a way to gank a free for all fight..

And thank you for your concern, but as i have stated i have spent many hours working out the CONCORD mechanics and a way to keep them on grid, and i am also quite happy to pay groups to defend the sites, and plus, read the rules for CONCORD and for CCP's rules on griefing, starter systems can not be hit, i.e. you can not gank in a starter system or you will be breaking rules set forth by CCP (Unless these have changed) in which case you will either A, get your toon perma-banned, or B, be partially banned, despite being new at this i am by no means stupid and naive.. I have thought about this from every angle and have even been speaking to 2 people i know in RL who make a living on this game out of Ganking.

All things said and done, this will go ahead once i believe i have enough ships and the like, i will be testing it out soon as well, i am also updating the rules to reflect the use of ECM and the like, as well as other modules i have been informed about, please stay turned for that, and thank you all again for your interest shown in this endeavour!

Although it's not intended for such events, have you considered running the event on the SISI test server?

It was an awesome roam! So many came out and gave the NewBros a fantastic experience!

The next NewBro roam will (likely) be more Australian time-zone friendly, btw.

Of course, you can come to any of our roams, we always welcome new players, although there is much less handholding and explanation, you'll catch on quick!

All you need to now about Singularity (SISI, the test server) can be found here: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity

There is also a forum section (think it's called "Test Server Feedback" or something like that) here on the EveO forums.

You should also be familiar with bug reporting, as it's expected that while playing around on SISI, you report any bugs you find.

Everything on the test server costs 100 isk, and nothing on SISI impacts anything on the live server. So this means that pilots don't need to break their bank to fit out ships ;)

This sounds like an amazing idea.

I haven't been playing for very long my self. Probably four to five months play time. I totally suck at pvp but I would do something like this just for the fun factor and to get the " t-shirt "

I'll ne shooting you an In game mail as well as a small donation .

Good luck

Your Griffin - or any ewar ship (especially ewar frigates) is welcome on any of our roams :) BTW just announced an Australian time-zone friendly roam for this Friday at 08:00 - if I remember this thread right, you said you're in AU TZ.

Well, you can't actually buy Titans on the market, either on TQ or SISI, since they can't dock. Needless to say, this leads to some interesting situations when people are selling Titans. Should you come to the point in your Eve career where you wish to buy a Titan, whatever you do, use a third-party escrow service Big smile

As someone who has organized public events for a wee bit of time here in Eve, the best advice I can give you right now - especially since we're all throwing so many ideas and suggestions at you - is to keep it simple. It's very easy to feature-creep these things and end up with an event that just overwhelms you and ends up less than enjoyable for the participants.

As is true with any party, remember you'll either end up with hardly anyone showing up or WAY more than you expect. Keeping it simple helps you better adapt to either eventuality :)

What you do for yourself dies with you, what you do for others is immortal.
