Some banks and others offer the service to have custom made pictures on your bank cards. I think CCP should offer high res pictures to be used for this.

It would be a form of marketing if they provided high res images for folks to use. Many would ask questions about what it is and potentially gain them even more interest and players than they already have.

I personally would love to see some high res versions of the old old old ship schematics pictures.

The process used to print credit cards is relatively low res anyway many of them about 300 dpi, although some of the newer methods are up to about 600 dpi.. For a 300 dpi print on a credit card you only need an image that is 1,050 pixels on the longest edge, even at 600 dpi your image only needs to be 2,100 pixels on it's longest edge. I have seen many EvE related images online that easily meet this criteria.

My biggest concern in this would be if CCP considered such a use to be infringement of their copyrights and the only way to know that would be to email them directly and ask, or hope that they answer it here.

300dpi is far from low res, its standard to print at 300dpi

An interesting misconception that we in the commercial print industry run into almost every day, 300 dpi has not been the "standard" for nearly 5 years, in fact 300 dpi in now considered to be the bare minimum required. In the past 5 years the average dpi of the machines used in the commercial print industry has risen to 1200 and above. 2,400 will be considered more or less the standard on the next generation of machines due to market in the next few months with machines at 3,600 dpi and above already in development.
