Training Plan Assistance?

Are there still people who offer help or assistance in short and long-term training plans? I have a solid idea of where I'd like to be, but a low idea of how to get there and what I might need in the meantime.

When I first started playing, I mined and leveled specific mining skills. It's boring, and as I did most of my mining in a Vexor not the richest way to make money. Before quitting I had started training Gallante Industrial to V, and it's only a few days from being finished.

I'm likely going to find a faction to start running missions for until I can unlock level 4 cargo missions, and try to make some money that way. Eventually get a Viator for fun and profit.

Are there certain skills that I should be focusing on earlier in the game for this route? Would share more in-depth information, but probably not best I do that on a public forum.

Thanks in advance.

Don't think of it in terms of all encompassing goals, think more about specifics.
What do you want to do now?
So you've mentioned you want to do level 4 cargo missions - think about what would be the best ship to do that (use EFT if you have to) and work on the skills necessary to fly that ship really well.
Once you've achieved that goal and are running lvl 4 missions you set yourself another goal.

Lookup "evemon" its a 3rd party skill planner that is pretty much amazing.

Evemon as mentioned above with eft is a great combo for this.

Eve HQ works well too.

I suggest training lots of skills to 2 or 3 early on then running with a plan.
Nice to get a lot of benifits cheap and quick even if you don't use them all right away. (( Only takes a few days ))

I have a hard time figuring CPU with the EFT tool. Sometimes, when it appears I should have the cap to fit something, I do it and then it doesn't have the cap necessary to activate, even though EFT seems to say it does? I'm sure it is my mistake in reading it. I'm looking at the available numbers and then what it says is available after fitting on EFT and I have my character selected.

Ok, then I've got a question to ask about training plans as well.....how do I train skills without logging onto the game itself? I have and app called Dusk downloaded on my iPhone, but it doesn't allow me to do anything but plan what skills i plan to train in the future, rather than just actually training the skills. So how do I train skills without logging onto the game itself?

There is no way of changing the skill queue without logging in.

@ Seth, the original OP:
In game there is a certificate planner. It can help you train towards some specific "core skill levels" Read each skill description as you load it up. As time go's by you will learn to comprehend what it is actually doing for you. EVE takes awhile to *click* for many people. Also, consider joining a corp with some helpful members. A little advice can help get you on a course that is fun and focused for you.

@Killbilly:
In game you have a "skill queue". It has a 24 hr load restriction. You can load it up with multiple short skills, and add one long skill at the very end that will keep training, until you get a chance to log in and reload.
