Any good trading hubs (besides Jita)?

I've been operating in Gallente space lately and making long treks to Jita to dump loot (because the prices seem to be better up there). Are there any "regional" centers of big commerce, maybe not as big as Jita, but closer maybe?

Sure ... second largest trade hub is Amarr (in Domain)... or try Dodixie (major trade hub in Sinq Laison - which should be close to you, if you operate in Gallente Space).

Awesome, thanks. Dodixie is like 4 jumps from me. I imagine I can figure it out when I get there but I'm guessing one of the stations is "the" one?

Jita is huge and messy and horrible
Amarr is just right
Dodixie is a bit backwater but you can fit regular ships without worry
Rens and Hek are tiny, but still hubs of some sort.

I'd also mention Agil in the same category as Rens/Hek.

Jita for cheapest prices (generally) but loads of spam/scammers and the undock is a constant mess. Amarr is like a diluted jita with slightly higher prices (again genreally). Dodixie, more expensive still with less stock but less spam/scammer and not as busy.

Like someone else says Rens and Hek are both hubs aswell but you only go there is your are in dire need of something and dont have time to get to jita/amarr.

If im buying expensive stuff i go to jita, if not i preffer Amarr, you feel less dirty when you leave there.

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

Rens is bigger than Hek is bigger than Agil.
I think in general, if you are a buyer you want to be in the biggest hub (Jita) and if you're a seller, you want to be in the smaller ones where the price competition isn't so bad.

Quite likely. Out of curiosity, are there any statistics from the market systems?

Yes with all the industry changes it would be nice to see what is going on with the market. Also it seems since the industry changes that I've noticed most trade hubs to be much closer to jita pricing and jita is not so consistently the lowest anymore. Of course those are completely subjective observations and I have no data to back it up.

I'm further wondering if with the new availability of market data if someone will be able to data log market trends moving forward?

I've definitely noticed a change since being out of the game for four years. It used to be that Rens was the #2 hub and had everything in stock at competitive prices. Now it seems that Amarr is comparable to Jita, while Rens and Dodixie are turning into minor hubs along the lines of Hek. I guess this is because they've solved the lag problems that used to make Jita impossible to deal with.

Generally every region has some sort of trade hub. Just open the market and look at several items (like ammo or PLEX) to see where they all are. Often it will also be a mission hub.

Not sure how up-to-date this is but:
