Data mining fail

You know, my problem is that I just running the missions and accept this stupid "Data mining" there you must mine some Scordite to bite rats. And my Talwar have no turrent slots at all. And no drone bay. And members of my corp say that Rookie ships are to weak for this mission. So that the point? I need to buy another ship for this little mission?

Yes you will. Don't expect one ship to be able to do everything in this game.

it's too big, get something smaller. It's probably limited to cruiser and below

Do you have a procurer and can you use drones? That would probably work, otherwise get a Rupture. You could also ask for help in local.
If you dont want to do any of these things start off with a venture, when the rats arrive warp to station and come back with your Talwar and kill the rats then go back and get your venture and repeat as necessary.

I agree, preferably the 3rd option.

Warp in with Mining ship, start mining and when NPC's show up, warp out, switch to combat ship, warp back, destroy NPC's, switch back to Mining ship and complete the mission.

In most mining missions the player actually has to start mining in order to trigger NPC spawn.

Someone else popping in and mining then warping out would trigger it for you.

Also any reasonable combat ship that has a spare turret slot suitable for a mining module will probably do the job.

If you have good skills you may even get away with running this mission in a LSE fitted Venture with combat drones though you do end up fighting a couple of waves of 2 cruisers each.
