Launcher updater stuck in an infinite loop

Yes, its another issue with the launcher.
Afer a couple week break, I come back to eve - and my launcher won't update.
It starts downloading the update... then it says installing files... then the yellow bar fills all the way, and I think I'm done... but then it starts saying that it is downloading the update... then installing files... a infinitum.

I've searched... I can't find any solution that works.
I saw a download link for a new windows version of the launcher... but no link for the mac version.

And of course, I don't want to download an entirely new EVE install.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?
