Combat drones not automatically engaging

So I understand the forum rules and not revealing communication, but this snip makes this forum thread ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I don't think that a GM explaining a game mechanic qualifies as private communication. Even if it does, Don't just snip it, paraphrase it so we can all learn.

So should everyone that reads that thread, go submit a ticket and ask a GM the same question over and over? Isn't that what the forums are for?

So could someone please explain the mechanic here or fix the old thread and delete this one.
