I recently joined a friends corp over in the caldari militia.

The corps standing with the faction and the State Protectorate is 2.95..

But my standing with the faction is -3.19 and with the State Protectorate -9.5 ...

How would I raise this? what badges can I hand in?

I was hoping to do some lv4 FW missions to fund my FW pvp

Won't be able to raise it via badges. Best way is to have a friend fleet you while he runs missions, then shares the LP/isk rewards with you at the end. That will RAPIDLY boost your standings.

Be prepared to compensate him for the lost LP/isk,

Would doing lv1's solo do the job too?
And does capturing plexes also raise it quite a bit?

my friends pretty new, not sure if he could even do lvl2 missions.

check how much Level 1 missions will raise your standings, and capturing plexes.

The first couple of rises in your state protectorate rankings will be minor, apart from promotions which will be major.

And the further you get away from -10, the slower your improvement would be.

I would recommend grinding level 1 missions and capturing plexes as much as possible while you train Social V and Diplomacy V

you can do the plexes while your friend does missions and split those with you.

Recently tried to rep some of my own standings with some NPC Gallente corps.

Running lvl 1 missions will get you a 0.03 - 0.05 increase per mission depending on agent standing and social skills. In other words, If you have a - 5.0 standing with the corp, run one mission and it will be like - 4.97.

I spent like 3 days running missions for Aliastra from -4.30 before I got down to -0.88 and said **** it.

Trust me, lvl 1 missions are not the way to go unless you like doing missions. Lots and lots of missions Shocked

He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.

He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared.

Yeah You will get around +0.3 standing for each lvl 4 mission that someone shares with you; so you can get it up to +5 in two days or so.

Don't forget about all the "promotions" you get, which will really ramp up your standing in a hurry.

I was in the same situation on another character. Faction standing is what matters. If it is too low your corp will get booted from the militia. You can have a negative standing with the NPC militia, it just means you wont get higher level missions for a while.

To improve your standing with a faction, you can turn in tags at Data Centers but you can only do this once ever afaik.

You might consider leaving your friend's corp so you can fly through all of hisec, and then running the Sister's of Eve Arc - pretty quick, big boost in faction standings. This can be repeated, I think it's every 6 mos but I forget the details.

You can also run the career agent missions in the three starter systems for Caldari - Kisogo, Todaki and Amsen. You can do all the sets if you like - Military, Advanced Military, Probing, Trade and Industry. This is a once ever thing, so you can't repeat this to repair your standings a second time. Just read carefully and don't loose a good ship in the Advanced Military missions where you loose a ship - use the one they provide for you to loose.

And yes, you can also use the data center tags.

In fact, there's a post somewhere in the forums about a "Faction Standings Repair Plan" - you should probably look that up.

Um...this isn't an issue with faction standing. It's an issue with the NPC corp standing and him. The only way I know to fix this is to grind missions.

I'm guessing agent standings are the most important factor because I dropped to -3 with the militia recently and got limited to L1 missions but after getting up to just -1 I was able to access L4 agents again.

You could get a corp to get the standings for you, even just as a boost rather than the whole thing(as it would be expensive) On another toon I bought standings with an NPC corp from 0.28 to 3 it cost about 590m but I got a share of the ISK and about 31k worth of LP. There are corps out there that do this, search for standings correction agency.

Well first, perhaps you shouldn't have shot so many Caldari Pilots or NPCs as that is the sure-fire way to get it to drop.
Just run either defensive or offensive complexes; defensives can be better if the system is >50% Contested, otherwise the flat-rate of the Offensives will be better. You gain more for the larger complexes too, it's proportional to the LP you would gain if you did it solo (so doing them with friends is fine and won't affect it)

Another thing you can do is to run Level 4 Missions in a Fleet, you don't need to be on-grid or even do anything to get credit just remain in the Fleet docked up somewhere. Used to do that all the time for my Alts, as you can grind them from 0.0 to 9+ within a matter of a weekend. Disgustingly broken; but FW Corp standings are mostly meaningless outside of RP anyway.
