New "Mystery Code" Apparel Items?

Hello.

So, I bought the EVE Collector's Edition a super long time ago and only just now got around to redeeming the Collector's Edition and CCP Mystery Codes. When I did I figured I'd be getting the typical PLEX, cybernetic arm, Rorqual ORE edition blueprint, etc... I didn't pay attention to all the stuff that came in each mystery code package, but looking back there was a Mystery Code "Apparel Package."

However, when I was about to mass sell my items on the market for a quick bit of ISK I noticed something. Sitting in my little box of redeemed items were 3 items I've never seen before in the game or on the market (they still aren't on the market at the moment).

Men's 'Impact' Jacket (green camo)
Men's 'Strider' Pants (green camo)
Women's 'Rocket' Dress (green)

I have painstakingly collected every cosmetic item I could find in this game, but I had never seen any of these. There's no price history in Jita for them either. Are these new items? Or, is there something else I'm missing here? Also, I believe these all came together in the same package as the rest of the apparel items seen in those images (sans the 'Phanca' Cybernetic Arm and the "Torch" monocle.)

Anyone?What?

I recall you posting in another thread a couple of weeks ago Falcon saying you would have a look at what was happening with the mystery codes, so thanks for the Apparel Pack.

Falcon, the pack contains 6 items, though only 3 of them are actually new, the others have been available for a while. Was that intended ?

Is it just me or have the in-game clothing assets started looking more and more rushed?

The Women's Corsair Heels (black) are just an existing in-game model with a very low resolution texture slapped onto them.
I can't be the only person confused by this.


If you look at the overall visual quality of clothing items in a timeline you will find an unsettling trend of lower and lower resolution textures. Second Life vanilla content from years ago has higher resolution and visual quality than these boots.

This frightens me.

Thanks for the clothes CCP; and especially LogiFalcon.

As to the catalogue image not being high texture and having a bit of aliasing. Doesn't worry me in the slightest. Even if these were originally designed before the recent changes to the NEX/NES and no larger resolution image is available, they still look fine in game. Some people will always whinge though.
