Oh boy noooooeeees..

ECM has no counter? No wonder this comes from a blobb-logi pilot..

Maybe he didn't ever notice but energy neutralizers is the strongest warfare in the game, not a few seconds of no target lock.

If you get jammed this only means, you loose that ability, nothing more, nothing less. It does not prevent you to move your ship, does not breake your ship, does not turn of your modules, only targeted modules pause for a short moment.

You can still reposition your boat, warp away and do it all over again.

Neutralizers have no counter and will curse your ship into an unfit one and requires zero effort to use.

But after the CSM Minutes I am hardly surprised Sad

new mechanics idea
- instead of a complete hit or miss per cycle, make it a more intermittent disruption to a ships ability too lock and perhaps add in some secondary smaller effects like like sensor dampeners do but more like 15- 25% to scan res and lock range.

- so over a 20 second cycle each jam lasts only say 5seconds .. but could happen every 10 seconds and the secondary effects would last the whole cycle
- make falloff effect strength of the module rather than a hit or miss modifier and decrease optimal range of the modules by a good chunk too force ecm ships closer too get full effect.

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

this would be extremely broken constantly loosing locks means you need to constantly re-lock


the hit or miss is what is so great about ECM and knowing how to manage your cycles is what makes a good ecm pilot

Ah, nm I get what you're saying, yeah ECMs do need a rework though, not sure how, but it'd be nice to get one.

And you'll still be jammed by a hornet ec 300.

I had 200 sensor strength one time and was nearly perma jammed by vexors. ECM is garbage.
