A good way to avoid this abuse, would be that a ship needs to be docked or the pilot must be without a logout timer.

This is exactly, what I am looking at - I just need to see if this is really working.

please dont limit this to docked ships, if you have your char in wh or hostile null you cant dock

You can always dock on the test server since docking permissions get removed when it gets mirrored. WH pilots can pod themselves, cant even use the SP loss excuse anymore.

This thread, like the other one, is why we shouldn't be allowed to have nice things.

Unless maintaining the moveme bot is a problem, just get rid of player access to /moveme permanently.

Having a weapons or capsuleer logoff timer should be enough to disable /moveme.

In the current prototype for this change you can use /moveme if you are either docked (timers don't matter in this case) or if you are in space without logoff timer. Let's see if this change survives testing and code reviews. Blink

It may be that I am asking a fairly obvious question, but does this mean then that if someone else shoots at you, you cannot use /moveme even if you have not returned their aggression unless you dock first?

yep, sadly

this is a perfect example of why human being aren't allowed nice things, because there are always a few who look for ways to exploit it to the disadvantage of others

That would be it.

Shouldn't be a problem though since you can just use /moveme while docked.

The changes for this are active now on Singularity and I added Thera again to the list of valid destinations.

/moveme will work when:

  • You are in a station (no matter which flags)
  • You are in space without a PvP logoff timer
