Yet I still had enough clue to notice that being a super pilot sucked. Can you listicle why I'm wrong? I'm over 30 so I won't need a youtube video to walk me through it.

Everyone plays eve-online differently, for some mining, for other's pvp in interceptors. Certain players, have alts, specialized in super's. Nothing sucks about it.

List for you:
Everyone play's EVE differently.
Some people like Super's.
Some people like Mining.
Some people like building items.
Other's would prefer to roam in a interceptor.

Hope that wasn't too hard for you :)

I've always thought that not enough has been done with the bump mechanics. It feels like a "we couldn't figure out what else to do, so we let it slide and just not talk about it".

Personally, I'm all for embracing bumping in all its hilarious insanity, and building mechanics around it. For example, on the subject, I agree that random capital bumping is an annoyance, and an easy answer is a deployable (or high-slot module) that acts as an anchor - while the module is active or the deployable is deployed (this one is the better option since other players could blow the anchor up) the ship is unbumpable. And then on the flip-side, actually introduce some useable bumping mechanics - imagine if Smartbombs applied a bump affect, or Bombers could launch a "concussion bomb" that effects everyone in the blast radius like they just took a bump from a seiged Dreadnought. A whole new slew of tactics open then up (Have problems with spider tanking caps, salvo them with concussion bombs and go for the gazelles seperated from the herd. Your Titan heavily bubbled, send a bomber wing in to try and snooker-shot him out)

Interesting, being able to 'anchor' a supercarrier or a titan. Sounds... useful... It's never going to happen! :P

Maybe it will stop people from bumping those ships when getting close to them to refit/etc...

While you might be having too many supers inside that POS bubble, there certainly is a technical problem if static ships suddenly bump each other. Especially when those ships are so slow to stop and turn.

Not sure if it's the same case, but the other day I accidentally got too close to a carrier on a frigate. It didn't change its position, but it did a 360ยบ turn around itself, seemingly not planning to stop in the near future.

Yeah, certainly there's something quite akward with the bumping mechanics. I think CCP should try to dedicate some time and resources to investigate it.

I did not just spend 250billion on supers just so they can play bumper cars when I blink

Well...

I think it's funny...

I bet this is just another AFK cloaking thread???

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's just another extravagant "Plese let me into Bittervet Club" post

Had it a few times especially with capitals where you warp and end up 0 of something and sit there fine for awhile - often a number of minutes - then suddenly will be pushed away from the object. I've got in the habit of making sure there is a bit of space around me when doing stuff like that.

Wouldn't the alternative to bumping be damage?

I would rather my ships magically fly out of the POS shields instead of them randomly exploding lol

Until CCP fixes this issue to accommodate you, don't log your supers next to the stick

Is it really that hard for CCP whom has multiple entire teams of game developers who (hopefully know how to program a game), to add in some code that prevents a ship from going faster then its maximum velocity no matter how hard it gets hit or by what?

Just FYI, I flew supers in 2008-2010 and it was like that. It's now 2015, still like that, so don't hold your breath!
