I've lost Local.

I know some people would love it if everyone lost local, but eve seems very quite without it. I thought I'd minimized it, but I can't find it anywhere. Ugh

Reset all my settings, opened up other chats... still no local.

Better do a petition before I get cabin fever. Cry

Hide then unhide your UI, that might fix it.

I had a similar UI issue with things totally vanishing when I closed the esc menu yesterday.

And you definitely didn't accidentally make it a tab of a different chat window? From you mentioning the possibility of having minimized it, it looks like you had local in a separate window originally. If you accidentally dragged it into one of your other chat windows, it would appear as a tab in that window.

If it's not there, and not tabbed with any other window, or behind something, then yeah petition.

Tried Control F9, good idea but didn't do the trick.

Nope I didn't drag it I don't think. All windows are closed anyways, nothing at all minimised.

Could someone have a look at there chat and see if it has the "x" in the corner to close it. I wouldnt click it though.

Last I checked, Corp, Alliance, Fleet, and Local are the only chat channels that don't have that. Unless it was changed in the patch, but that doesn't seem to be something that makes enough sense to do.

Petition/bug report is probably your best bet right now. I did read somewhere that this is a known bug, so I guess they can probably reopen Local for you, and would appreciate the info in your bug report for fixing it.

Think I've tried everything now, even restarting the client. Petition winging its way to the devs.

Bleh... after many months in a wormhole trust me, you're better off without it.

Change your game resolution to something small, then change it back. The missing window should be back.

This worked for my missing drone window.

Same thing happen to me today. got disconnected when i reloged it was gone.

i got it back after getting my ship killed( not having local is not fun in null)

So if ur real despite i would suggest ejecting.

Since the last client update I've been having similar issues on some of my characters.

Everything from being invisible and under the floor in my CQ to loss of UI to black screen on undock.

But by the time I move another character over to make sure I'm actually in space and not kicked and have a petition half way finished, the problem magically cures itself. Although I will lose connection a few times on the affected character.

Normally I'd blame it on my ISP or my PC and shrug, but I'm actually logged in on another character right beside the one with the problem on the same PC and IP addy and having no problem at all.

So they must have introduced some intermittent bug that affects not everyone and not all the time with the last update.

Guess I'll head over to the bug thread and see what's up.

Ugh this happened to me once quite some time ago.... And for the life of me I cannot remember what I did to eventually get it back.

Was years ago though so likely not caused by the same issue that is causing yours.

Will try to remember though. :/

Welcome, brother. The wormhole network is vast, random, chaotic, profitable.

At first no local is a bit nervous-making. It gets better, though. Nowadays I get all jittery in empire, of all places.

Lost local, alliance and corp-chats after diconnect yesterday. Local reappeared after jumping to another system, but the other channels were still gone.

However, resetting cache brought them back.
Also helped for disappeared station-services window on wifey's computer.
