Strange Times for a T2 Manufacturer

I haven't looked at the boards in months. (Heck there are new boards now.) I had noticed that PI prices kept going up and up very quickly and had no idea why. After this tax change, I can see why it was happening. Wish I had known, I would have stocked up more, even at what I thought was a high point in their cycles. After over a year I've seen lots of cycles.

So now I'm invested in a POS, cranking away T2, even just added an alt to help me with raw materials. My spreadsheets need to be redone to reflect the new reality of the new prices of raw materials. Interestingly, the prices of T2 items haven't gone up as significantly as the PI stuff which doubled or tripled. Either this is going to be less profitable, a losing proposition, or something, but I'll adapt. The T2 not going up as fast leads me to believe there is too much stockpiled, and I haven't really noticed sales going up, but going down. Leads me to think a recession hitting the same time as the tax increases. (Never a good idea.)

Just wondering what others in my boat are thinking - about what is going on. And no, I don't think a move to low or 0.0 is in order. I don't like the way they are monopolized. The developers need to fix that before they can get me there.

I' wondering about a lot of things myself. Is there going to be a significant drop in research pos in high security. That will impact my research times. Will pos supply production become a null proposition like many moon materials. I don't think low security will pick up a lot of production its not worth long term investment. Also how will common moon production change things like tungsten or fernite? They are cheap due to the quantity available but if that changes it will really affect the market.

I honestly don't think that CCP has any idea where this is going. They wanted to increase conflict over resources and they will achieve that but that is as far as they looked. The real shake out will be much more expensive market items like crystals or drones.

The margin on T2 items i make are down 25% or so in the last couple of months, i put it down to the big war between NC and Russians being over. I suspect they where pulling a lot of stuff out of Jita, there was spikey demand, with shortages here and there, now things seem pretty flat.

I assume it will balance out though, if the profits arent there people will downscale or change to other profit making schemes.

You might just want to wait a bit until people reduce their stockpiles then re-evaluate.

One of the reasons I wrote IPH is because it was so difficult to update spreadsheets all the time and the market changes constantly. I just run the numbers to see where the trends go. It'll all even out at some point. Until then, there is T1/T3 production.

I am starting to think more and more about moving into a Wormhole.
