Those two letters are the crux of this whole issue.

"Safer" is not the same as "safe".

PvP can happen anywhere in EvE from the time you log in until the time you log out.

This is by design, and I think it would be to EvE's detriment were to CCP implement actual "PvP-free" zones.

It has already been stated that they intend to remove all combat from highsec (0.5 and above) sometime mid this year. No wardecs, no duels, no ability to attack anyone else. To do that you must go to 0.4 and below. This is the new order of high sec, bears win.

Wow. Eve really is turning into WoW. Only problem is, with all the hand-holding EVE is going to be doing, it isn't going to be nearly as fun as WoW.

CCP needs to quite catering to stupid people. Get bent.

if that happens I will be leaving EVE. That is what made this game fun. I have ZERO interest in nullsec pvp and low sec piracy is at an all time low. This sucks too. I put a lot of effort and work in to this game, especially with six accounts. Oh well. All good things come to an end I guess.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Or, in layman's terms, link or it didn't happen.

If CCP really does remove all combat from hisec they will effectively kill the game. I wouldn't keep playing, and neither would many of the folks I know.

Citation needed.

If this ever comes to pass it will show that CCP learnt precisely jack from Incarna in 2011, and probably kill their reputation, credibility and future as developers.

Something that will be hilarious: people who join corps with FF turned off and people who recruit with FF turned off who will legitimately think "well at least I'm safe from my corpmates now"

And for the love of god, no, there has been no mention of removing all combat from highsec and making it 100% safe. Stop feeding the troll, guys.

That's hard to believe. Maybe it was 0.8 and above or something .. and only a far-fetched proposal at that?

Even .8 is hard to believe. Id say 1.0, since they contain the newbie systems. Im not aware of any non-newbie 1.0 systems, though. But it would still make the most sense.

There are plenty. In fact, Amarr is a really good example of one.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

Personally I think the threat of awoxing is just counterproductive to the promotion of what eve is all about: community.

If you're so worried as a recruiter that you simply cannot recruit x person because of the threat of an awox then you limit your choices immensely and you miss out on potentially great corp members.

The high end corporate espionage should and will exist, that requires effort and months, even years, of planning.

But joining a corp and then shooting someone requires little to no effort, thus should be removed to encourage community.

So awoxing is this big great danger to recruitment, but war spies aren't?
