Seeker Drone.

I am thinking of a launch for self deployable drone (seeker drone) that will launch from your cargo hold, it can warp to any location and at any distance and give you information on what ship is located where it lands this does *not include cloaked ships, nor does it do anything but tell you what is there though you can warp to it.

It could work two ways either either it randomly goes from place to place (In the system you are in) looking for ships or it could go to the location in the system you select and send it too and then you must go where it was sent and pick it up before sending it out and selecting another place to go.

and f.y.i of course i know about combat scanner probes, and the D-scan i would just rather something more passive then clicking scan over and over.

Only one per ship.

As you already know, you have tools to do this: D-Scan and Combat Probes

You're describing a scout.

Try using a friend, a newbie or even an alt to do this for you.

But yea,the D scan can refresh itself lets say every 2sec.

if only there was some sort of quick cov op frigate that could cloak and scout out not only the system you are in but several systems ahead of your fleet.


what would be even better is if a player had to fly it rather than it be automated
