Hai

So im aware that u can deliver tags to get ur sec status up again, but how and were do i doo that ?
Do i buy the tags from the market ? Or can u farm the tags u self ?

If its to expensive i cant doo the tag thingy. Then i might need to just grind on rats - Anyone have a good and cheap method of doing that ? is it best to do it in low sec or in 0.0 space?

I have had some trouble finding some decently information about it.

This page will show you the tags you need to get up from a certain standing level.

Tags are dropped by clone soldiers in low-security space (0.1-0.4). Clone soldiers occasionally spawn in asteroid belts and are increasingly difficult to kill as the security level of the system gets lower. They also drop the "better" (more expensive) tags as the security level of the system decreases. The most expensive part is going from -5 to 0 (requires the "best" tags from lowest security) whereas going from -10 to -5 is fairly cheap.

Edit: You can also buy them at any market hub. The most expensive tags are 20-24 mil each. Cheapest ones are about 1 mil.

Edit 2: Click the "Show Security Offices" in the tags "show info" description to find a location to turn them in. Note that it's going to cost you some ISK in addition to the tags.

Alternatively if you wanna grind the standing back up, the best way to do it is to find a loop of 6-8 systems of the lowest sec you care to venture into, and belt rat. Warp to belt 1, pop the biggest one you can find, go to next system and repeat. IIRC you only get sec status ticks every 15 minutes in the same system, but if you chain a bunch of systems one after another, you get ticks for each rat you kill, speeding up the process significantly.

Probably didn't explain this right, but I know it used to work. Not sure if that has changed.

Personally i'd rather pay for tags than worry about all this bullshit, even if I had to buy a plex to do it.

Just do the 0.0 carebear thing for a month, and your status will be shiny and new.

no longer true, it is one increase per 5 minutes.

personally last time I got my sec up I bought tags to get from -10 to -5, and then did a little lowsec ratting to -4.5, then went to a 0.5 system and did missions in an ishtar, where I launched light drones and went afk till the mission was done. until my sec was wherever I wanted it.

Do you want to just get legal in all of highsec (-1.99), legal in 0.9 and down (-2.49), or actually get positive?

Getting into highsec at all is done by using the cheap tags to get to -5, then popping one or two belt rats if needed to get to -4.99.

Then the cheap, safe option is to run highsec level 4 missions from a 0.5 system, declining ones that send you into 0.6 or higher systems. The cheap, risky option is lowsec or null ratting (lowsec belts seem to give more sec status than null). And the expensive way is to buy the more sought after tags to get to 0.

Because faction standing != security status.

Okay, so if it's one increase every 5 minutes rather than 15 (It may have always been that way and I just forgot?) then it would still technically be a better idea to hop systems rather than to effectively wait out a 5 minute timer in a system before popping another rat.

Unless what you're trying to say is that regardless of whether or not you hop systems you'll only get one increase every 5 minutes. In that case, yeah. Just stay in one system.

If you are going to farm the tags yourself, you will need to do this in lowsec. Various truesec values correspond with the 4 types of rats that drop tags. Ergo, you can go look for Clone rats in systems with a specific sec status, depending on your needs. I find it comfortable to stay within the -5 / -2 range, making Transporter tags the ones I want the most. That corresponds with the Clone rats in -0.2 systems. Depending on your preference you can gun for any kind of tag by sticking in a system with a lot of belts, so you force respawns over time.

You only get one increase per 5 minutes, based upon the highest sec boosting individual rat you kill.

System hopping gains you nothing unless it lets you have access to better rats.

Better to farm the highest value tags, sell them, then buy the tags you intend to use personally.

With my method one would use only Clone Soldier Transport Tags, which happen to be the most expensive ones anyway.

I can't judge the OPs sec requirements however. I have to deal with corp logistics and would like for the cloak on my Prowler to keep working when flying through 1.0 during a wardec. That means I have to use Transporter Tags. Lucky for me, our corporation is one of the most actives ones in our region and operates from a 0.2 system... the only one in the region. Our presence increases the ratters risk without increasing the reward, thereby turning "ratting the best tags" into a dangerous proposition, one where you are lucky to even find a Clone soldier without getting dogpiled.
