EVE Corp Center, a new web tool for corporations

Hi all !
EVE Corp Center is a new tool currently being developed to make web communication of corporation easier. It’s divided in 3 majors sections.

  • The first one is a CMS, similar to Wordpress. The idea is to enable the corporations to publish content or simply to have a website that looks like them, to store information, to communicate on their news etc.
  • The second one is a forum. I don’t think I have to explain this one to you.. if you’re reading this message, you know how it works !
  • The last feature is the well-known killboard, it’s (probably) the best way to list your trophies.

I’m not a pioneer but EVE Corp Center’s interest rests in several points :

  • First, there’s only ONE installation to have all the services. Furthermore, the system will be made so that the player only needs one account for all the tools ans his/her EVE accounts.
  • Eventually, one other benefit is that, either you are on the CMS, the forum or the KB, the access rights will depend on the configuration of the rights on the administration of EVE Corp Center which will be directly connected to the rights within the corporation itself, in game.

For that tool to be really perfect, it’d be good to fill it with some other nice features. We thus plan to add a maximum of things possible with the API, as the follow-up of the skillqueue, the reading of EVE mail, the follow-up of the wallet corp etc.

Nevertheless, we probably won’t think of everything ! This is why I came to you. What are the features you’d want to find on this kind of tool ? What would make your life or communication within your corporation easier ? On the contrary, what things do you find unnecessary, obsolete or even restrictive ? Don’t hesitate, let it go (let it goooooooo) ! We’ll try to follow a maximum of your advice and to answer your questions concerning EVE Corp Center.

suggest renaming to EveCenter and modifying to include alliance options

As I slipped my finger slowly inside her hole, I could immediately feel it getting wetter and wetter.

Thanks for your suggest. For the name, we can't because this name is already taken.
For alliance features, it's planned but not before the 2nd release of ECC.

If you talk of a possible collection of information from me through this tool ... Once the first release available, the code will be available on Github and thus access to all, you'll be able to check.

If you talk about the tool itself... The access will rely roles of the players within the corporation... So if a member have to access to information that should not... It's that 'there is primarily a problem in game ;)

I look forward to your project, especially for the management of the corporation, because all you are trying to create, I had to do it in Excel :( (If you planning to do corporation wallet/production/asset management)

Btw did you know that site ? That was pretty good for wallet management and its donwn for long time :(

Great project : having a single software to install and configure would be very nice. I hope you'll not use too many fancy new technologies to keep server installation/management easy.

It sounds like OP is making a service rather than a piece of distributable software.

Other than he's just recreating EVEGate + EVE Forums which already do both forums for corps and mail, etc.

Not really. The idea is really to make a public website by corporation, not a pseudo social network.

Yes of course ! We sent a newsletter last month, and welcomed a new member in the dev team.

For the website, some people are working on the new version, so that's why it's not very up to date.
