I would consider the green line emitted by speculation attempts.

Real value could be in between the yellow and the violet one. No one really knows, as there's no real indicator how much PLEXes are speculated.

The crossing green and red one at 440 is the last resistance of the impulse wave before, so the price is likely to stagnate at this point in a "head-shoulder" price pattern. Price could peak up again a partial of the difference we have seen yesterday (corrective wafe) and drop again.

Well, lets see how many guys are jumping on the speculation bandwagon and play the game again. On the other hand several guys were not able to sell all their stuff and wait for a second chance. I guess price won't calm down the next weeks...

This is Eve, which is full of pricks, ergo, follow your ****, not your heart.

If you make a simple linear fit, you'd see that prices are slowly rising.
This is a result of general inflation caused by an excess in isk faucets. The introduction of new isk sinks (BPOs and BPCs) has caused a small runoff in prices, but that effect will only be temporary. Interestingly CCP did something very novel this expansion: they increased PI related isk sinks based on actual market prices. Although raising taxes would (in the real world economy) acellerate price inflation, the effects in the Eve sandbox are not so clear, since the isk sinks and faucets do not have to be balanced. PI prices are up, but the increased isk sink could reduce the inflation we have seen in the prices of other items (incl. PLEX).

There is some inflation but the vast majority of PLEX price increase came from usual expansion release resub speculation. In this case the speculators profited handsomely as it would appear there was a lot of resubbing (which kept the market up surprisingly long).

Talk inflation when we see where PLEX settles down.

A notable bit of behavior is that every bout of high volume over the past few months corresponds to a drop in the price of PLEX. I don't know whether it's sell offs or PLEX for shinies, but that strikes me as a modestly negative indicator, not that the price is too high, but rather that it is rising too fast.

Humm ... PLEX price crashed through the 440 barrier with ease so next support line is around 400...

Sooo, here is something I played about with a couple of weeks ago. (Only based on the "Official" market dump). Interested in me extending it using cache dump data?
