I don't know where else to put this so I put it here.

I wrote this after my recent and very first PvP experience in eve Online and I just wanted to share this experience with everyone.

Now I just want to say that eve is the only game I know of where something like this could happen due to the fact of ship loss on death, meaning that in other PvP games most people would stay and fight knowing they had nothing to lose.

The battle for Moon 19

it was suicide a whole Armada of battleships, cruisers and battle cruisers against 3 cruisers 2 destroyers and a single frigate, the only thing that was protecting us was the reinforced shield around the station that was going to drop in less than 5 minuets it wasn't a case of if we would die but when.

Luckily for us the frigate that we had was an astero class exploration frigate that we had been using to try to find a wormhole, but after 20 minuets it was starting to look bad for our chances of survival, my destroyer was focused entirely on scanning the stargate for any openings to escape but it too had a fleet waiting for us, with no other way out our only hope rested in the hands of that one pilot.

as the reinforced shields got down to 30 seconds I could feel the tension as the enemy got into position ready to destroy us, AND THEN just as we had almost given up hope we had been given a chance at surviving we had found a wormhole, the enemy were completely unaware of what we were doing when we warped off into the unknown.

once we got inside of the wormhole we spread out to avoid anyone who followed us while the astero scanned down an exit, it didn't even matter if it took us to the far reaches Nullsec, the only thing behind us was death now and the only way to escape was forwards so we took a shot in the dark to escape,

finally we scanned down the wormhole exit and once again we went forward into the unknown, once i was through not knowing but hoping we were not in nullsec i looked up to the system name, and there against all odds we had made it safely to caldari space far away from where our enemy was in gallente space, tired and feeling thankful at how lucky we had been we split up and headed for different systems to hide in until things calmed down.
