Shocked

Scandalous....we can't possibly tolerate such a misdemeanor in here, can we?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

It's also probably a system for the ISD/devs. It's better to keep a civil and somewhat on topic but still clearly derailed thread going than to have more get derailed beyond home. It keeps the population happy when less clean-up gets done since it permit the relative inexistance of "forum moderation" thread that needs to be moderated too...

I dream of Jeannie.

It helps to be a bit older to get the reference.

Yes, the population is limited and constant with minor fluctuations.

I fear if just one of them self destructs the vacuum created will collapse not only GD...but the other forums as well.

Let's bring in some new blood and ideas to sure up the forums...

Posting because one day people might reflect upon this thread and associate my name with all these contemporary philosophers that call the EVE-o-forums home.

Another way to consider trolling from is Dr. Phil's viewpoint: People only engage in repeated behavior if it pays off for them. What is the pay-off for trolling? Experts and online discussions cite:

Attention and recognition, even if negative
The emotional release of venting
Power (the power to disrupt)
Vandalism
The thrill of breaking social conventions
Sabotaging groups the troll dislikes
Immaturity

Intentional trolls brag that they do it for the lulz. Their braggadocio usually masks these reasons.

I have little intrest in this thread but am curious what some of you are like in real life vs forums. Also, where do you find the time!? As short as life is, Id hate to think that many of the "regulars" are just sitting at home on a couch, on here all day long. Cite medical reasons, or that you make six figure income while playing on forums all day in your cubicle, but for some reason I dont believe the people who say that. I picture heavy drug use combined with multiple psychological disorders.. and a dash of diabetes.

it doesnt mean I dont appreciate your presence. without all the regulars the forums would be far less entertaining.

You don't even realise that this fits exactly to you continously opening threads,
especially that last one that was addressed at me directly.

It fits perfectly.

Yet, you will keep believing you somehow hurt *me*,
although it is you who proves time and time again that s/he can't let go.

People like you come and go. Really. You're not the first,
not the last, not the best and not the worst.

You all failed to realise that what you are throwing at others
mostly actually is about yourself.

Like believing that I am angry about you,
when it's you who just can not let go.

And you prove it here again.

I know it's pointless to try helping you,
but at least I am trying it *once*.

So I will do now what I have done time and time again ...
... after pointlessly attempting to make people aware of what's going on.

I ignore those who are unable to see themselves.

You can believe in a massive conspiracy if you want to ...
... but you aren't the first, the last, the best or worst who tried ...
... and yet I am still here and they are all gone.

Maybe it tells you something about what's really happening ... maybe not.

It doesn't matter to me anymore, because I know that whatever I say
will only make your situation worse anyway. I try once, maybe twice ... but that's it.

Therefore I wish you good luck in your life, because you will really need it.

I strongly suggest you get some distance ...
... and wish for you to find something that makes you happy instead.

I won't read or respond in here anymore.
Sadly your reaction is perfectly predictable: You will want to respond.

Another hint, btw, that should tell you to just leave and let go.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

It wouldn't surprise me if all ISDs are assigned a particular forum regular and get automatic updates when he/she posts on the forum.

I just had this image of all of us on one huge couch, passing laptops around and concocting the drama while baked.

That would be awesome.

Sadly, the truth is I do this from work and I actually play a game called EvE online when at home.

And yeah I have responibilities at work which mean Im supposed to respond to alarms and stuff.

Dear Solecist Project,

I'm not sure if it's funny or just sad that you actually believe yourself.
