I have a fast pendraised connection but the patch is downloading at a steady 5kB/s, why? it has been more than two hours now. All other internet services are super fast (up to 110KB/s)

Sigh.

It wont be like this in Star Citizen when it arrives in 2023.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Most people get off work the same times,
depending on where they live of course.

So ... many people downloading.
Of course it's for hours.

Everyone sucks from the same output.

Sucking at TZ switches is worst.

Btw the patch was tiny in comparison.

200MB ...

is there a download limit from the server side if I am using a download manager to get the zip file?

If you start another download next to the one running ...
... you aren't really helping yourself ...

You make Al Gore sad.

Wait, are you not letting the launcher do it? You're getting the installer for the patch manually via a separate download manager?

i had the same slowness issue with the game launcher while downloading, left it for an hour only to download 20MB. I thought using the direct link with a manager would be faster but nope, same pendraised and slow speeds. Only 60MB has been downloaded since more than 2 hours.

There might be a torrent somewhere which is possibly faster, sadly enough I won't be able to provide a link though but you could try googling it.

As long as download x stays on 5KB/s while there's still plenty bandwith left for download y it can help.

Yeah but that's assuming there's bandwith left ...
... but why would there?

Tbh I doubt the issue actually exists,
the OP is trolling quite regularly. ^_^

Now to the OP, ya those 30,000+ people trying to download from a single source has nothing to do with it right.
