Question about reactions

I'm a total noob, so what's the difference between a Carbon Polymers Reaction and Carbon Polymers? Would the reaction be the input for a reactor to make the next level reaction?

Carbon Polymers Reaction is basically the bpo.

Carbon Polymers is what the reaction makes.

So if you have a hurricane bpo you would get a hurricane from it. If you have Carbon Polymers reaction you get Carbon Polymers from it.
