Strange Mac client lag?

I’ll try not to make this too long, but I really want to explain what is happening in detail so any CCP Dev that sees this can understand what’s going on. (But really we all know it’s just so the rest of the community can help out :)

So I’ve noticed a strange lag in my client the whole time I’ve played Eve, but it didn’t really bother me until I started to mostly PVP, and I finally saw a good way to explain it today (it also comes and goes with releases). I warped into a plex to catch a BS and a Drake running the site and decided to watch them for a bit to see who else came. While doing this I noticed that the Drake’s NPC targets would explode right when it’s missiles landed on them. But the BS’s targets would explode when it’s missiles where about 1/3-2/3 the way there. Sometimes in PVE I would see this a lot and didn’t care because.. PVE, but this got me thinking Its related to some PVP problem I’ve been having.

I’ve recently lost a few pods even though I started spamming warp as I got low in structure, yet I entered my pod already scrammed. It’s as if I was in my pod to the people I was fighting before my client showed it to me (and my ships structure was really lower than it was showing me too). Like my client is a few moments behind what’s actually happening on the server. This would also explain the strange reason I can’t seem to land first blow on an opponent recently. Even when I’m waiting for them to land ready to go, I get this long wait for them to fully come out of warp when they land and sometimes even though I’m spamming lock target they still get lock and DPS on me first (this is not a module or skill thing either, I know their fits, who they are, ect). It’s as if they come out of warp on the server and on their client, but my client doesn’t know or show that yet.

Now I’ve always had this weird bug where sometimes when I warp to a gate in a big system I will land at the gate and then “re-land” at the gate. The client literally jump cuts back in time and I land on the gate twice. The supper annoying PVP version of this is where I stop taking DPS in a fight for a few moments then the client kinda stutters and I suddenly have no armor left.

I play in the U.S. and currently on a wireless router with a Macbook Pro, but I’ve see this happen to me on three different internet providers, while using an ethernet cable, and on different computers with different instals. The only thing that is the same is that I’m on a mac with that lovely extra layer of communication breakdown between the client and cider.

So does anyone else get these issues or noticed this? Any ideas of what to try would be great too.

Update:

I'm also now getting a strange behavior where my modules cycle time as shown by the green indicator that glows around the module in the control panel is not consistent. So when I activate a gun for instance the green indicator will start at the 6:00 position, rotate around 360 degrees as normal, but then it will continue on another 45-60 degrees or so (to the 10:00 position) before I can toggle my guns again. The next "cycle" of the indicator will sometimes start where that one ended (and continue to move the end point around the module as I fight), or sometimes there is a little "jump" in the client and the cycle will start again at the 6:00 position.

Also when I turn off a module the red indicator will come on while the green one continues to circle as normal but when the green one completes it's 360 rotation the module still flashes as red for a few seconds before I can reactivate it.

Is anyone else seeing this kind of behavior? It's really starting to feel like my client and the server are not on the same page?

I too experience the "double approach" when warping to i.e. a gate. Not always though.
As I don't do pvp, I've got no experience with dropping into armor instantaneously, but
I do experience the out-of-sync behavior of modules: NPC's taking damage does not
coincide with a fired salvo.

Playing on a Mac Pro (late 2013) Yosemite 10.10.2, cable internet.
