Wormhole space is a great way to get around. You'll find it gets much faster once you understand different types of wormhole connections and how to predict them. The best way to do this is to spend time scanning down chains.

-Here's some basic wormhole info (slightly outdated but still relevant).

-Here's an example of a bookmarking scheme you can use to keep track of where you are

-And here is an explanation of the scheme

Don't forget that the low-class wormhole systems (C1-C3) now have null-sec level data and relic sites without rats (in addition to the sleeper data/relic sites which DO have rats so be careful).

Personally, I never had much of a problem getting in and out of null-sec with any ship.

It how ever does require patience and learning how to read your enviroment (mainly maps and why certain places are camped more often then others).

Like Kerberz <> HED-GP...you can during prime time just count on that gate to be hot.

My first "home" in null-sec was very shallow in Geminate, we had 2 ways to get from Empire to our homesystem.

And we all knew, that during prime-time the longer route, though taking a longer and not leading to Jita easily, was usually the smart way to go. Then again, our main enemy (low-sec living corp that loved to harass us) lived on that route. So if you knew they were active (long live their main members on watchlists), then the long route might be even worse then the short one and you just flipped a coin twice. First to give you the route to take (short vs long) and then again for a Go / No Go decision. If it ended on Go...you just went and hoped for the best and made sure you had the alliance people on speed dial to rescue you.
