What's the craziest thing you've heard yourself say in sleep-talk?

You know how you're nearly asleep, but yet still conscious? And you sometimes might try and communicate with the real world?

Well, that happened to me this morning. And I found the results to be rather humourous.

So I've only had about three hours sleep because it's a Monday, and I, for some reason like to start working on videos and models at an absurdly late hour (as well as EVE, of course).

I woke up easily enough, but I was on the couch for the next 45 minutes 'trying to wake up,' i.e, trying to go back to sleep.
I could still hear everything, so my cat thumps up to the couch (it's three-legged).
I notice that, and pick it up and set it on my chest. It starts doing that annoying thing that cats do where they claw into your skin repetitively.

How annoying. I'm just trying to get to sleep here! So in response, I query the cat with this masterpiece:
"Why are you -my standings are good with you, why you being mean to me?"

That's right. I asked my cat why it is attacking me, because apparently I have good standings towards it.
Most likely a reference by me to the fact that I have positive standings to every faction in EVE, yet pirate factions will still attack.
Nevertheless, it triggered one of those 'WTF!?' moments where you suddenly cut back to reality, realising the stupid thing you just said.

Have any of you got a story of the likes?

Cats are known AWOXrs (and they run all the good relic sites in highsec. This has been confirmed by a dev)

I talked in my sleep a lot last night. Woke myself up each time, and continued my thought / sentence. I don't recall what I said, however.

It's not specifically sleep-related, and it's not even really EVE-related, but....

On one previous occasion, I have instinctively imagined a mini-map and tried to use it to orient myself spatially IRL.

This is not an attempt to troll -- it actually happened, and I immediately reduced the time I spent gaming when I realized what I'd done.

You're not alone.
I played the mobile game Flow Free so much that I started visualising and trying to solve grids while attempting to focus on boring things.

As you did, I promptly stopped playing that game for a while.

my ex informed me once that I had been answering phones in my sleep. This was when I was still dispatching for the cab company. I took this as a sign that I needed to do something else.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

*typing on an imaginary phone*

Tuut tuut tuut, tiiiidokdokdokdokdok meeep meeep meeep, hello, HELLO?! WHO'S THERE?!

*hanging up on imaginary phone, going back to sleep muttering something about arseholes calling people in the middle of the night just to realize it was the alarm clock all along.*

EDIT: Also, did it ever happen to you that you tried to enlarge the small writing on a piece of paper with your mouse wheel?

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

I've never heard myself say anything when asleep. I've been recorded saying pure jibberish by ex's. Sometimes not even in English. I've woken myself up laughing or crying and not remembering what caused either reaction. I'm also a bit of a violent sleeper. Pretty much all ex-boyfriends have complained at some point about being kicked or elbowed.

I also have this weird thing happen if I am woken from a deep sleep suddenly, I see the world around me like it's drawn and not real. Sort of like that "Scanner Darkly" movie. Takes a few blinks and a few moments to clear up lol

I once had the stereotypical experience of waking from a nightmare by my own screams.
Pretty creepy..not sure if this "time-dilatation-during-dreams" thing is correct, but I remember at first that scream was a deep and low hum that then slowly increased in pitch to a normal "human " noise, kind of as if you listened to a tape that first runs about five time slower and then increased to normal speed.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

I once told a girl my care cup was empty.

She didn't know I could answer question while sleep talking so took my answer at face value.

I remember I was ''tough-guy talking someone I was going to beat up'', I remember lounging and him, and then, a lot of pain, considering I just jumped out of my bed and somehow ended up face planting the floor.

This is back in 2008.

I was studying economics very late at night and got ready for bed. I received a call from my brother,

"Hey, want to get some food on your lunch?"

"Sure, what time?"

"Around 1130. Got something planned?"

"No, I just don't want to find myself driving in used parking lots."

"The taste hates me!"

Yelling that woke me up.

To this day I have no idea why I said that.
