Alright, going to keep this rather short, but I realy wanted to share my story on the forum and also add what make this more fun.

I resubbed to eve this week and jumped into a C2 WH with HS/C3 static. Then today a WH opened with the code A009. I never saw that before and tried to look it up. couldn't find and info on it and jumped in. Right away I noticed it was one of the new shattered WH's.

So I warped around a bit, there was a lot going on. Some of the planets look amazing and the star looks great to. When jumping back I noticed it was one of the 25 holes that only allow frigates and destroyers. Not having one of them in my WH yet and bbeing lucky with a connection 4 jumps from amarr I decided to fit up an enyo. That ended up doing 950 DPS with electron blasters :D.

After killing some sleepers and checking out the epicenter next to the star aswel I decided to scan out the system. More on the epicenter later

There were LOADS of gas sites. but one in particular a vast frontier that spawns 8 cruiser sleepers (4 of them web and neut) cought my attention. I wanted to kill these sleepers. It was a blast, I didnt have this much chalenge doing pve in eve in a while.

Also there was this one Data site I couldnt scan down. I got my scanning skills at level 4 and had my mid slots filled with scanning upgrades but couldn't get past 97.4% mark. after half an hour I gave up and I am now training my scanning skills up for the next time I find one of those.

Other then that, there was not much else to do inside the WH. The only other connection was a NS hole that headed into stain region. so there was no other players to shoot. I did some gas harvesting and left.

I would like to see CCP do something more meaningfull with the epicenter, except for the 2 frigate and 1 destroyer sleeper it was just a pretty scenery.

Going 1 hole deep through a chain into a shattered hole does not really count as ran out of content so much as ran out of attention span certainly summed it up as a tldr for me.

I did the exact same thing. Except I wasn't as ambitious as you - I was in a cheetah and just looking.

Is there a point to having these holes besides eye candy?

With the chaos and mayhem apparent in these holes you'd think there'd be something "going on" like some great battle - or the remains of one.

Maybe: "**** off______ because you salvaged their hole, and you'll be sorry"

What type of ship were you flying? The T2 frigates and the Astero get higher bonuses for scanning. Might have helped. Also, do you have the implants for scanning?

I was flying the T2 galente cov ops for scanning. Had 4 scan strength mid slots and can strength rigs on it.

I dont have implants for scanning as it's not my main activity and I expect to loose my POD


I kept trying to get the probes closer and closer manually when iw as already at 0.25 AU range. but after a long time I gave up as it was not getting any higher. I still wonder what is inside of it though. As it is harder to scan down then anything I tried to scan till now. It had a new name but I can not recall it.

Might have been a Ghost site, maybe.
As for the scan strength mods... diminishing returns? Or were you just going all out to try and get the 100%?

I've never had trouble scanning down any site, especially with core probes, and I don't use implants. Were you using T1 probes or Sisters?

sisters launcher with sisters probes. It was a name of a site I have never seen yet. not sure. Next time I'll make a sceenshot if I come around to it again.
