I know it was not your intention, it's just generalization is a pet peeve of mine.

Kind of like when I am lumped in with people who gank for lulz and/or tears. Not that I am above them or anything (I have one in training right now), it's just they are two different things generally lumped together that in reality are quite different in many ways.

I bought a new bike jacket for Christmas. Treated myself. The wife does not know, she only knows about the Australian biker trousers I also bought.
It's for when the better weather comes, so I'll get around it somehow.

Or talk it out and tell her you need 'em (and budget, blah blah...) -- that seems to work better as you don't get overheated wife aggro (they can train Thermodynamics to L5 and Breaking the Laws of Thermodynamics L5 -- they can keep heat on forever without burning out).
